I would like to receive 13, 19 & 28, in the North of Scotland, and from a previous post, the advice was to go for a Gibertini dish, as I wanted aluminium (or something similarly weather resistant).
A few questions:-
Is the feed arm & multi LNB bracket on/for Gibertini dishes...
How strong is the feed arm & multi LNB bracket for the aluminium Gibertini 85cm? I would like to get 13, 19 & 28 from a single dish, and am wondering if it is really strong enough for 3 LNBs, in the North of Scotland, and all that the weather in this part of the world can throw at it?
Also...
Thanks for the replies.
I take it that my existing dish is aluminium, yes?
With the exception of snow build up on the dish face, I don’t have any reception problems with my current set-up, even during heavy rain – would this remain the case when realigned to 19e? If so, would the 85cm be OK...
I notice that there is another, recent post dealing with this subject, but rather than hijack that thread, I thought it would be better to make a separate post for my particular set-up. I will, of course, take note of the information offered there.
I currently have a Lenson Heath 80cm aligned...
My Humax 5400 has stopped working – it just displays three green dots on the display.
I installed ToH3[1][1][1].3_HoT3.1 at the end of last week, and the latest setting on Saturday – everything seemed to be working fine until late last night when I tried to put the receiver into standby, and...
Thanks.
I was thinking about the Triax TD110, the aluminium version - is this a good choice?
Also, I'm in Scotland, which is apparently the windiest Country in Europe, so I'm wondering how robust all these DiSEqC motors are?
BTW, how noisy are actuators?
Thanks T24.
Do you have any experience with any others e.g. Moteck SG2100, Superjack DG-120, Cryptic etc.?
Also, how long do these motors last? I have read of some showing signs of wear/play within a few months!
Would an actuator (with V-box?) be the best choice for reliability/longevity?
TIA.
What would be your recommendation(s) for the best DiSEqC motor? Best performance (accuracy & speed), and reliability/longevity (build quality, weatherproofing etc.)? (For use with Humax receiver)
TIA.
