Is there any brand of field strength you guys can recommend. Im currently looking at Promax, but I dont know which model to get. There's also this Channel Vision's M-2000, is this enough to get signal strength in dB at the user outlet? Thanks.
when you say IF levels, these are in dB right? and what are off-air and launch levels? If I understand correctly, the launch level is the dB measured at the immediate output of the Launch Amplifier?
actually, this is our first job and not really sure if we are going to get a second. Our first system is a 4 dish sat system 3 ku band 1 c band with around 112 outlets. I'm having trouble justifying that the consultant is asking too much by asking for certification of signal levels of all outlets.
You don't need to give a written paper test results even if its a multi dwelling installation? can you guys give me the brand and model you use? with regards to the spec of the field strength meter, what frequency range and what db range should it be able to measure from the outlet of the...
I heard that you need a field strength meter to check out that your installation is according to standards. Any idea what kind or what spec of Field Strength Meter is needed to certify Satellite Installation. Thank you.
Thanks very much for the reply Huevos. It will still work if I have a single output C Band LNB and use a splitter to split the signal and put one to Lo Vert and the other to Lo Hori right?
We have a 4 dish setup, 3 Ku Band and 1 C Band. We use a Triax 17 Input Multiswitch. What I am confused about is where to connect the C Band LNB among the 4 Inputs of the Multiswitch (Lo Band Vert, Lo Band Hori, Hi Band Vert, Hi Band Hori). Thanks in advance.
is there a standard distance between dishes for installing them. Im trying to install 4 dishes, 3x 110cm, and 1x 2meter dish. I want to clump them together but i want to know the spacing distance between them to avoid interference. Thanks
The job consists of 4 dishes, 1quattro LNB for the 3 dishes and 1 C band lnb with a total of 14 runs to 2x 8input amps. from these two amps we will be using 14x tap array to distribute it to two areas (the tap going directly down the building, while the output going to another side of the...
