    125cm offset dish

That would be a 115cm dish. On offset antennas the measurement is made horisontal. a 125cm offset would be over 135cm high.

    Question Re: LNB OUT

I have 2 boxes connected this way. 4-way switch connected to digiality receiver, second receiver (pace) connected to lnb-out on the digiality. It works fine and the switch is functioning well through the first receiver. So in my case the switch is not locked to a specific input on the switch. I...

Motorized offset dish by Rotating the LNB inside a fixed sphere

A sphere has its focus on 1/2 radius but it is not really focused there so you lose some gain. I dont know how much worse it is compared to a parabola. I have seen antennas with sphere-design horizontal and parabolic vertikal, I think it is called Torus and were made by SMW, but it is not...

    dish arm sizes - standard?

I dont know the numbers and have never seen any ony on this subject. The easiest way to know is to take a tv outside so you can try with lnb connected. I tried this and it is not hard with a steady hand to get results. I use a 5" b/w monitor which I bought for 4£. Just be careful not to obstruct...

    dish arm sizes - standard?

If you post a mpictuer of the dish someone might recognise it. there are a lot of different solutions to the feed. Universal mounts work but not optimized for your dish. If you have tools you can make your own feed with a piece of metal and 2 clamps. I had 19E and 5E on a selfmade feed before...

    Scandinavian Free to View/Air TV

Viasat channels do not offer much swedish programming anyway, usually english programs with swedish subtitles. Maybe the Tv1000 is interesting but only for the movies, I dont think there is a lot of swedish languagage going on there...

    Home made positioner

Very nice thread:) When I get a pm for my dish maybe this is an option to consider. Although the digital parts is not my strong side.It is not often you can save money by building it yourself. And I totally understand why, it is nice to use equipment that you have made. Also when using 36volts...

Scandinavian TV too expensive. £795? (TV1000)

Also if you find someone with a subscription, there is a way to get extra cards for your sub. This is the cheapest way to get it. Just checked and the biggest package is about 2670kr/year on the second card. (canal+ and family)

Scandinavian TV too expensive. £795? (TV1000)

Well to answer some of your questions: Tv1000 is broadcasted by viasat and therefore is found on 5E. Kanal 5 is broadcasted by canaldigital, 1W I am not a fan of big brother myself but when i switched on the tv today it was there, noticed that it is half Swedish/half Norwegian... Just so you...

Scandinavian TV too expensive. £795? (TV1000)

About the satellites, I am not sure but last time I checked Viasat is only on 5E and it has NDS-encryption, you also have to "marry" your box with the card (like sky). There can be a few channels on 1W also. I know people using dreambox but problem is with number on the box and card and also...

Scandinavian TV too expensive. £795? (TV1000)

Personally I think canal digital is better, there you can choose the film-channels and a cheaper package. _www.canaldigital.se _www.canaldigital.com

Scandinavian TV too expensive. £795? (TV1000)

Well, all I can say is that the price is more than double of what it costs here... 3,887 kr year one and 4.186kr year two. Add to that a tuner, but you get the tuner for free when signing up for 2 years. Dont know the exchange from pound to kronor right now but round 14. That makes 280pounds...

And in that case, is it possible with a revolutions cam? Have seen codes for disc* channel, encrypted with BISS on 42E.
