regarding the TM 2600 Item number: 360385980589 - ebay
does that look like the correct one, have they all got holes in the arm?
thanks guys
Haha that is one way to put it, but yea I hope so
What is an acceptable amount of backlash, do all motors out of the box have a bit of movement on the arm?
Apparently the super jack dg 120 I have has a patent no backlash mechanism, well there certainly is movement which I guess is general...
Yes I do, the back garden but the wife is not happy about it going in the back garden, however I do have children so the dish could get knocked in the garden
Anyone else have them in the garden and with kids?
Suppose could mount it high ish or is that defeating the object.
Looks like I am going to buy a tm 2600 motor
My concern is that it could be the location of the install.
South facing wall, near a school with a large open field, where the wind can tunnel down our cul-de-sac. Also I have the winds from the sea going down the side of my semi detached house...
the motor is not a brand new one. had it a few years.

_http://www.mediafire.com/?bskbz0xycl4td67video from underneath. it is hard to see from that video but everything is moving in one motion up to the point of the fixed part of the motor
the dish moves in sync with the motor arm, if i secure the motor arm with some...
so the lnb cable could be catching the wind?

the mast is nice and secure and the mast is a proper...
sorry about the live links...
i went up on a ladder just now and it seems as if the motor arm is moving when the wind picks up. if i hold the motor arm and the bracket of the dish attached to the motor arm still then only the dish face slightly wobbles.
it seems the strength of the wind is...
so bigger is not always better...
could you look at the video and let me know if you think that is to much movement. i am debating getting on a ladder to see if the dish fixings needs tightening (not a good idea)
MBC i get 28-30% signal
however that is the least of my concerns right now. the wind is making my dish wobble and i lose signal.
for example even on bbc thor with 98% it drops to 0% and then back to 98% because of the wind. obviously i lose picture because of this
it is happening on every...
lucky you, probably because i am North i can't see it...
