Problem solved
Checked voltage at motor to stb connection and was showing 18.91v @ H & 13.54v @ V. Motor moved at Local buttons. Installed short lead from stb to motor with same voltage results and it drove from STB. Checked the termination of the long/original lead to find it water tight BUT...
Thanks for the replys. I have reset the motor like robbo said (as per manual) and still no joy. I'm going to try tomorrow weather permitting with a short cable to the motor to see if the volt drop is too great.
Don't know if this'll do. As someone said in another post "things never go wrong on a...
My motor is a Fortec Star and was running fine earlier. Tried reseting motor and stb, reflashing etc and still I have this problem. Limits have been turned off. Moving the dish via motor setup still has the same problem.
The motor LED is green and when a command is sent the orange/red LED...
It is ment to be the Noise level that the LNB has. The figures used to mean something back in the analogue days but now it doesn't mean much. The companys who make LNBs seem to print any dB they want.
LNB with a lower dB is thought to be the best. I've used 3 types 0.6,0.2,0.1 and found the 0.2...
Hello. You can pick up anything you want/pay for in essex. You'll need at least a 60cm dish to pick up a good signal. A Lidl sat system will do for a FREE setup. Once you have decided what you want to get ie channels then you'll be able to get better info regarding pay systems etc.
I can...
You need to make sure that the bracket on the dish is suitable for your LNB. The chances are on the sky dish the LNB has an shaft that is inserted into the arm. Your new LNB needs a 40mm bracket. You can buy the adaptor for this also at maplins...
Ok. Check with a multimeter between outer of F conn and Center Core. This should be 18v DC in a healthy system on H. On a few occasions when I shorted the cable the Technomate cut the supply out. This only returned with the box was restarted. Also check the signal strenght with and without the...
Hi Kitch. I think I've the same motor as you (maplains) and I find it only really works when you've got the polarity of you stb on H. This sends 18v to the motor where V only sends 12v. I've spend many, many hours abusing my box/motor/cables only to find this out. Even now with everything...
