Hi
On my Dreambox 800HD can you use the internal HDD to record/Playback and then switch to the USB external HDD to also record/Playback?
The reason is I want to split Movies from TV recorded progs . Can anyone advise?

Hi
I have a 2.5 sata hdd fitted to box which is working but I wonder can the USB pot be used to operate an external HDD as well. What software is available for switching between the two HDD (fitted &USB)?
Thanks

Hi
Have tried the audio button/subtitle section Yellow button> shows Menu> Subtitles and below this DVB English & TTX English. Tracking down to either and pressing enter on remote brings up or removes the Dreambox subtitles as the manual described.
But the big but is when I go in to the Audio...
How do I get the subtitles on or off on my Dreambox 800HD?
Have tried settings in SELECT AUDIO TRACK(yellow button on the remote) but cannot fathom it out.

Hi Goose68
Have reinstalled the 2.5 hard drive formatted to ext3fs ( used Paragon Partition start up disk through PC). The FAT32 format did not record over 4.0gb, hence the re-format. Used the record button on remote and all is well with start/stop process. Hope this helps others who view this...
Thanks goose68 for this
But I'm a little unclear in which format you are relating to - is it NFTS or something else. I did name the disk ext3 though when I formatted it in FAT32.

Hi to all who contibuted and thanks
Through trial and error and help I have got the hard drive working and recording tv programmes :).
This is how I managed to get the HDD disk to work.
1. Get a copy of SpotMau and copy their disk recovery CD.
2. Use your PC take out your old hard drive...
Hi all who have replied(thanks)
Have partitioned the disk, formatted the disk to NTFS (named it ext3) not Fat32 all to no avail. Used the Menu > Setup > System > Harddisk > Initialize. Still no luck.
Were am I going wrong

Hi
How do you formatt it via a PC and then to ext3 for enigma 2 - not fat32. Would you be more specific as I'm not very up with the IT jargon
Thanks Tosher
