Almost a year later, and probably shouldn't be bumping a wanted ad. But just wondering did anyone buy and install one of these at the time, and did it survive since. Don't need one, but considering purchasing one as a backup for the CM120.

I presume you have tried holding down the power button for 20 to 30 seconds.

Using Safari on a mac, if I click on the original link, it doesn't work, I get the same page as "nano" above. If I copy and paste the link into the browser, it works fine ? On the same machine but using Chrome browser, I click the link it works fine.

If you have a piece of pipe just cut through it at an angle, the more angle the more lift, then put a pin through the pipe, like this or am I misunderstanding the type of hinge you are talking about. ?

Thanks again, great work. I actually will have no issues with the installation part, as I can just dig hole, put down 4.5 inch pole and fill with concrete. No planning needed and no neighbours. I just need to make the polar mount and decide where to dig.

Thanks for the replies, yes I suppose it's better not to butcher the Az/El mount. It's strange on all the enthusiast satellite forums where the CM is usually the "favoured" dish, I have yet to see any specific instructions on making a polar mount, loads of posts on people who have "made one"...
