Blimey SkyNews and Skysports 2 who would have believed it???Ratchet said:Not sure what happened there, the signal loss / fluctuation only lasted a couple of minutes. The signal levels returned to normal so no swap yet. These are prime candidates for going over to 1N so whatever went on was probably related to a potential move to 1N soon.
The symbol rate is only 1 mega. The Vu+ range is specified at 2 megas. On the Duo I can get lock down to 1.5 megas but it is pretty hit and miss and can take up to 40 seconds to lock when changing channels if you manage to scan it in the first place. I used to get Canal Info News on the Duo before the power dropped and S/R for that is only 1240. But it was very difficult to scan in; it took about 20 attempts.Frantic said:Why, on this frequency, my ClarkeTech 5100 gives level 92% and quality 85% and my Vu+UNO gives srn 0 and agc 79%?
Yes they could. Safe bandwidth for a 1 mega-symbol channel is 1.5MHz, so theoretically you could fit five in there.Ratchet said:Thanks for correcting me, you're right I should have said "Obviously these 2 frequencies could not transmit at the same time with these parameters".

No. At the time SR was 1000. Read back through the thread and you will see. You even wrote it yourself in your post #890.Ratchet said:Fit 5 in where ? Are you saying that if 11171 H was active with a S/R of 22000 (which it was at the time) that you could also have an active frequency 6Mhz away ?
Ok, but that is an S2 transponder so it's nothing to do with what's on 11171H which is viewable using an SD receiver.welshman234 said:12382 h 29500 3/4 transport stream 07f3 TID 2035

The TID is 2035 Astra 2B NorthTHORtenerife said:how do you know this is 2B not 1N...also they are using these three channels coz sky news is free, pick is on a free to view card and sky sports is top tier,so can check all parameters
