How is your reception (HD channels like BBC One/Two HD) between 8pm and 11pm? I am having trouble to get a signal during these hours.
On my 125, HD normally dies between 17.00 and 19.00, but the last few days has been there until I went to bed!

85cm Triax FESAT 85 sg dish. Main LNB Astra 19.2°E, second LNB Astra 28.2°E. Triax multiswitch.
Humax HD nano, Elgato Netstream SAT and Philips 46PFL6007 as receivers

I have an 85cm dish with Astra 19.2°E as main position and Astra 28.2°E as a second position. I can receive both 2E and 2F 24x7, even when wet weather. Last few days were a bit shaky, because we had more rain than air to breathe here - 11023 was gone in the late evening for about 2 hours, everything else was on the edge but still viewable.
I live just about north of Oldenburg (Lower Saxony), Germany.

From a layman's point of view this isn't looking good at all.

2e is receivable in Frankfurt on an 80 cm 24/7-.The weakest is BBC1HD right now at 69% SNR but it is raining as we speak. Rained quite badly all last night and snr stayed at 65% from 7-11pm local time(Peak viewing time). I think I have got off very lightly with 2e and 2f. I was expecting to have to change my dish............... As for Münich- the reports on German Forums are very varied with some claiming reception on 120cm others not. East of the Rhine reception becomes much less easy to accurately predict

Marp probably a 1.2m dish as a minimum, working in Grasse for me at present in 2-6mm/hr of rain.
Yes, I think I will have to upsize.
I did a blind scan at 28.2 and the TPs for the spot beam didn't show up. I added them manually and they show 45% signal and around 6% quality. I assume this means they're being picked up but not enough for the receiver to latch onto. The only BBC I get is the Red Button, which I understand is on the EU beam, although I seem to remember getting a very pixelly BBC NI in a previous scan.

Will do a few more scans and fiddle with the dish to see if I can coax anything else out of it.

As we're down in France better add my own report.

5 miles south of Orange, Vaucluse.

Triax TD88 (85cm) with Quad LNB feeding a multiswitch then routed round the house.

No problems in good weather with either 2E or 2F spot beam in good weather. It's possible that the 2E spot beam is slightly stronger than the 1N was here as when we had some moderate rain on Saturday evening (just after we arrived) there was no drop-out even on the HD channels.

I await with interest some heavier rain.

I am just over the river from you in the valley Ceze. 44.12N 4.33E When my usual UK channels moved I was about to rush out and buy lots of stuff. Well, after a few days I found that I was still receiving the Beeb and ITV on my 60 cms dish (the one that came for free when I joined Canal plus many years ago). I have signal quality of between 54 and 70 percent. I did however buy an Inverto black job - it hasnt made any difference. My little dish doesnt like the rain, but so what. I have been thinking of changing to a 1.2m dish to try to capture Nilesat for the foot, but so long as Canal continue to offer their pretty good coverage I shall leave things be.
BTW I use a little Technomate TM5400 CI USB receiver and one of their motors. Both have performed very well.

Hello to all,
haven't been back here much since i am retired from the satellite business.
Looks like BBC and ITV has left our area since the switch over. Does anyone know if Cypress can pick it up with their big 4 meter dish systems? Also all 2 meter dishes can no longer pick it up here in the Naples area. I know someone that is mounting a 4 meter dish, not me, and i can keep you informed as he has laid the base and will be finished in the weeks to come.
Thanks
Ralph

Check out Analoguesat's reception reports - link is in his sig. I see someone in Potenza gets SD with 3.4m.

I am receiving no BBC1 or BBC2 signals during the day but I get both at about 11.00pm CET and they are pretty much perfect.

Or buy a motor for your old dish and tune in to Arabsat 26E. Everything is on there with a Europe-wide footprint (if my footprint info is correct).
