Had one that once looked identical to that - looked very different after a gale though - was then almost half the size !!!! In Valencia it managed to get a bit more signal than my 1.2 PF - but nothing like the fixed Pasat I have now. Hours and hours of fine tweeking were all wasted as it was so floppy the slightest wind changed everything - however it did teach me a lot about focus, skew, and how to set up an LNB !!!

No, I've watched a few come up on Fleabay but idiots pay seriously stupid money for them thinking they will work well on Ku, think the last one went for over £300!! C band of course is much more forgiving so given enough patience and some strengthening mods I'm sure one would work fine, how well I don't know but I'm not paying more than about 50 quid to find out.

I think I have exactly the same motor. It is written Maximum load 1200 KG-CM, do not sure what it means but person I took motor from said he had 1,4m antenna on it without any difficulties.

I just got it day before yesterday, did not try it yet. Not sure about who made it. One friend of mine guessed it is one of Jaeger light models.

Hm, does it look sturdy enough for something like a 1m Channel Master dish as I want that one in as high a spot as possible for maximum arc coverage?

I may get it just to have it as a 'spare' in case the 1224 ever dies...

Firstly- 1224 never dies, and secondly, if it dies, you work little bit on it and it works again, I mean, like new.

Seems it is sturdy enough to hold up to 1,2-1,4m dish. I have plan to install 1,4m plastic dish on this motor soon, will tell ya how it worked.
