My Satellite Setup
OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

I only use Beldin outdoor rated RG-6 quad coax with the pure copper center conductor rated out to 3 GHz in any of my installs, TV or satellite it does the job, I buy it bulk on 1000 foot rolls.

Does wonders for a TV install, and on a Dish Network satellite dish install you have to use good stuff or the band stacking LNB's don't work too good.

Point a camera at it and the signal drops?? Is the coax grounded? Maybe it's camera shy?

Be careful if your running it direct to receivers as that heavy cable will put strain on the f connection of your receivers.

For the last few meters I use normal thickness cable, with a Spaun slope attenuator inbetween.
It decreases receiver overload on strong sats, and make the spectrum nicely smooth!

The Maplin's ones was smaller and no good, so I checked eBay and found these £9.99 free delivery, probably too big for everyday use but ideal for me using them now and again, I am surprised how well made they are for the price.

YUK........The old style crimp fittings...I thought those went out with the dark ages, all I ever use now are water tight outdoor rated compression fittings, I think you can get them for that style of cable, I know I can get them for RG-11.

Take a look at this site.
