Hey there,

I've succesfully followed the most of the forum here and managed to get my DM800 up and running with a Via***t nds card.
But unfortunably the HD channels aren't working.
Using Gemini 4,5 and CCcam 2.1.3 and got the normal channels running.

Here's my addings to CCcam.cfg

Code:
SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 6860002
Which I get a picture and a good result with - But not the HD channels.
When starting CCcam - It looks good, but it's not possible to get HD working???

Log Removed.

Does anyone have the rigth settings or isn't it possible to makje HD run yet.
Many have shown pictures on the net - but not the solution.

Judging by the config sample you have quoted you have not specified a boxkey, I've no idea whether this card needs one or not but as the other popular NDS3 card currently in use DO require one, I'd be very tempted to generate one and add it to the config.

As far as I can tell - The boxid isn't nessecary as I have 2 different cards to try with - and both are just running fine on the normal channels - but no HDchannels - eventhough there's been several postings about succes with this.

So I haven't tried it - but doubt the problem are there !
as they are running fine on normal channels are running fine and CCcam are making the BoxID itself:
Code:
17:53:16.069 CCcam: /dev/usb/tts/0 configured clock frequency: 6860002 Hz
17:53:16.353 CCcam: nds card found
17:53:16.983 CCcam: nds: using boxkey XXXXXX

You miss the point. The premium / HD channels can sometimes require the boxkey. The boxkey CCcam creates is random and is not correct. For the time it takes to create and try a boxkey , just do it then we know for sure if its needed or not. Also I would suggest using CCcam 2.1.3.

Well - I've added the BoxID - But when running CCcam - uit still makes a random Boxkey - and NOT the one I've added ?

The line is:
BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 80 BF XX XX

But CCcam-2.1.3 -d shows this:
08:29:14.558 CCcam: nds card found
08:29:15.580 CCcam: nds: using boxkey 0CDFE72A

In CCcam it set with these params as shown above
BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 80 BF XX XX

Is this Correct or is there another problem somewhere ?

peque,

I see you have a smargo setup , and you've set quite a high clock speed and one that is not supported (6.36mhz).
Although I think the smargo will just switch to the nearest supported setting. (6.00 or 6.86 ).

However more importantly the boxkey you have entered you have assigned to the internal reader and not the smargo.

Where is the card , is it in the internal or the smargo ?

OK, so now you have assigned the boxkey to the correct reader where the card is, it should be fine.

Hello there. I have Viasat Baltic official card which I would love to "get working" on my DM600's internal reader.
I have the BoxKey of the card also. It's NDS2 card.
So, what settings (maybe you can post the hole thing, I just will replace it with my boxkey) should I use on CCcam.cfg? And, how can I set to share this card on my local home network? Thanks! :)

Not sure an NDS2 card will need a boxkey , but I may be wrong. I have no experience of this card. Have you tried it at all ?

The Dreambox Config Creator may help you. You'll find it in the Dreambox General section.

So, made it:

Code:
SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 3430000
BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 XX XX XX XX
F: dainis otrsdrims 1 0 1 { 0:0:1 }
But it's not working. Using DM600's Internal Reader.

Code:
SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
SERIAL READER : /dev/sci0
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 3430000
BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 XX XX XX XX
This isn't working either... :(

Hey Bite.

Install CCcam2.1.4 and put the card in the internal reader.
Normalky you don't have to set anything there - unless the cardreader defination and thats it!
I have Viasat Scandinavia running like that

bite, that line will never work. Your internal reader is not a Serial reader. That line is wrong and does not make sense. Do not use it !
