I have been told this might be worth watching, it is on tomorrow.

From the EPG

Thursday, 08/05/2014, 20:00 - 21:00 (01:00)
BBC FOUR (eng)

Orbit: Earth's Extraordinary Journey
(news/currant affairs/unscientific twaddle)

2/3. Kate Humble and Dr Helen Czerski follow the Earth's voyage around the sun for one complete orbit, this time travelling from January to the March equinox. Also in HD.

That means they will be talking about winter. Its hard to guess how much karma will be in there. The Channel 4 programme on monday turned out to be ok. A good amount of idiocy and some archive footage from 1963 and 1947 made it quite jolly. This one I think I have seen before but I can't remember much.

But the idea of watching Kate Humble in HD.

I saw it the first time round, great camerawork, but I feel the budget to send them around the world may have been somewhat larger than my mortgage.

It seems the wind (outside the house) has molested my dish more than I thought. I was trying to get the new muxes on 21.5e and they are below lock.

More fiddling around up a ladder to look forward to. :(

Cold here but dry. Meanwhile, in Russia (where it's apparently always cold with polar bear on streets), it's +30C and sunny....

It is a little known fact that polar bears often take advantage of the good weather to visit Mockba, buy some gourmet ice cream and visit the art museums . . .

I think our art critic has had a touch of the sun.

He's not used to being so hot.

That's why he's holding the guide book upside down.

The polar bear art critic, having stopped at the café for some more cooling gourmet ice cream with his chilled Estathé, moves on to the portrait gallery and the highlight of his holiday.

There he sees his favourite painting of all time of his favourite hockey player of all time, Noora Raty!

A quick reminder of this weather programme on Channel 4 in half an hour

Monday, 12/05/2014, 20:00 - 21:00 (01:00)
Channel 4

Britain's Most Extreme Weather
(education/science/factual topics/infantile exagerations)

Were this winter's floods a sign of things to come? Alex Beres-Ford examines the scientific evidence of the worst floods in Britain's history to see if the UK can expect a wetter future.

Next Monday is the last in the series

Monday, 19/05/2014, 20:00 - 21:00 (01:00)
Channel 4

Britain's Most Extreme Weather
(education/science/flatulent topics/moronic twaddle)

Is Britain now hotter than ever? Alex Barmysford examines the science and the history of our weather to find out if deadly heatwaves like the one we experienced in 2003 will become the norm.

Anyone with the smallest amount of sense will realize that if 2003 was the last time there was a deadly heatwave and that was 11 years ago then deadly heatwaves are hardly the norm.

Cuntryfile last night had a feature on 'climate change' and one of the high :-loop points was one of the interviewees talking about animals and climate change. They said one animal entered the country as the ice caps receded at the start of the interglacial and managed to survive the ice age . . . :confused

The polar bear moves through the final gallery. The modern art gallery. He is not impressed with the strange things he sees.

Right at the end by the museum exit he comes across some people standing open mouthed at a sound and video installation.

Moving closer he is shocked to discover a violent maelstrom of the images and sounds of hundreds of Eno's bizarre and unintentionally surreal weather forecasts mixed into one!

Mockba Polar Bear Art Critic 3 Enos Diabolical Weather Forecasts.jpg

"Arrrrrrrgh! My ears!! My mind!!! My poor brain!!!! It hurts!!!!!" he cried, running out of the art museum in shock and horror.

An hour later he was relaxing in his hotel room with the air con on max cold, sipping his chilled beer, trying to forget . . .

Decent day here - warm and mostly sunny: Which is a shame as I have been washing down and repainting our Airing Cupboard.
