I understand that and I'm sorry if this could cause any problems but we're talking about (still) widely available FTA channels in western Europe that just happen to be transmitted on a different satellite.

Unfortunately, from the thread at OpenPLi it is obvious that this type of HD audio is not possible in LONG mode of the script.
It is only possible in SHORT mode. However, short mode only works on Dreamboxes. It seems to be a question of drivers for other boxes.

I'll try that in due time. I know for sure it's not a hardware problem because it works just fine on my solo2 when the PMT is not encrypted.

That could be interesting for channels like BBC 1 HD or BBC 2 HD if both versions (SD/HD) are in sync, which I doubt. I've never tried AudioPip though.
Unfortunately, this solution will not work for Ch4 or ITV because SD versions are not broadcast on 27.5W.

That will be even more difficult than with the matching AAC_pid. ;)
It's not just the problem of resyncing the audio (you will have to delay the video) but the audio time stamps don't fit to the PCR.
I've built a TS (with TSReader) from H.264_vpid from BBC ONE HD and Mpeg_apid from BBC ONE. The result won't play though the elementary streams are ok.

Hi there

Just an update to let you know I've finally managed to clear the AAC-HE sound issue on the HD channels. The only way to do it on my solo2 box was with the openpli 4.0 image and using oscamymod. You can get pretty much all the necessary info in their forums in case you're keen to get the BBC/ITV/CH4 freesat channels now that they're more than likely to disappear here in the fringe areas once they migrate from Astra 1N to Astra 2E in the next couple of days.

Just remember theres no guarantee they will stay available in the long term..

I guarantee if their use goes mainstream the BBC will encrypt them properly.....

Yeah, I guessed that, just curious as i have a dish that might be redundant soon so I thought id ask what boxes work

Oh and dont worry i wont ask about keys etc!
