I get the exact same problem with this channel and TBS5925, SD resolution and broken picture with the signal above 18db! Could it be that it's broadcasting like this?

IMHO this is a typical carrier example that shouldn't be posted in this thread.

The state diagram shows only 8PSK ;) If the modulation is switched between 8PSK and 32APSK it can't be CCM. Further it says continuous. You won't tell me that you can watch the video. You can't even produce a clear screen shot though CNR is more than enough. There are boards where this kind of feeds (ACM, continuous) are shown but nobody can watch the programs :D

Nothing can be done with the applications we used for generic streams even even if the transponder has a strong signal.Nor is a transmission problem. So far we have no application to decode this type of stream!!!

You are right, you can't watch this type of stream smoothly. In fact not at all.But who said that? And you're right also, this transponder is not a feed, but a regular program and broadcast in the generic mode.So I had to post on another thread dedicated to this type of transmissions. But my idea was that, who knows,a programmer will see this topic and that will create a special application to decode this continous stream type, either in CCM,or ACM. Because this is one of the issues of interest, I think, many of us.
As regards the diagram, she indicates correctly the type of modulation for the transponder even if it is in CCM mode.It is true that the changes between modulations is done less frequently, but it occurs anyway. Most is in 8PSK.I checked this morning this stream with Crazyscan and then with TBS Recorder.Actually last application confirm modulations detected by Crazyscan. If they are wrong,it's not my fault.
And however, from time to time the image on this stream-11488 H- is the entire. At least on the generic streams in CCM,we can see the content and what channel is,which is very difficult in ACM mode,as you already know.

If the modulation is not constant, it can't be CCM regardless what carzyscan says. Crazyscan reads the BBHeader which probably contains some wrong signalling bits ;)

I would suggest that @Analoguesat should narrows the specs to (real) CCM and transport stream :)

BTW. 16APSK feeds can be observed regularly at e.g. 23,5E. Apparently Flemish and some German broadcasters have upgraded their gear :D

From the same provider,Elpitel, we have a feed in tests at 33.1 E with almost the same parameters :12542 V,1703,5/6,8PSK,16APSK,CCM,GS.But this time you cannot see the image clearly as if it
is in ACM mode. And I don't think apps read the stream incorrectly.

We are trying to watch 16 apsk channels but the new ratified standard dvb s2x introduces apsks up to 256 spsk!
"The Creonic DVB-S2X modulator is a low-complexity high-performance solution that allows for symbol rates of up to 250 MSymb/s (2 Gbit/s for 256-APSK) on state-of-the-art FPGAs"

..no, the header is wrong because it can't be CCM by definition. And again stream type is continuous -> not watchable.

What is the required C/N according to Shannon? ;)

Alas only a single feed by @pontiend :) that fits the topic description. The rest is noise :(

OK whats the consensus on changing the thread title?

Doesnt matter to me - I'll change it to whatever you guys want :) although I suggest we keep in "
16/32 APSK" maybe with the modulation details after this bit.

Feeds only or transmissions instead??

I say keep this thread for just 16/32 APSK CCM feeds. ACM, continuous feeds can go in the thread Feedsat suggested.

BBC feed currently active on 16°E
