My system is so badly put together its a bloody miracle I get ANYTHING off it!

On my 60cm int garden there's no way i'm getting more than 3 channels off this bird. With a clear sky and me tinkering for ages peaking out Salahhdin could i get a lock on the weaker transponders.

The dish had indeed sunk, so Im in the middle of changing the focus over so 21E is the prime focus and 16E will be offset.

Got it to 23E after much trouble - the azimuth settings on this 1m dish are terrible to set up..... Then got summoned for lunch so 21.5E is going to have to wait for a bit.

Ive put toothed washers on the az bolts in an attempt to stop the damn thing moving in every gale.

Got the dish happy and tryed all my spare lnbs,mainly icecrypts and narrow invertos but just cant squeeze more than three channels.

my dish is only up temporary on a slightly out of plumb clothes pole atm, i need to sort my new garden out before it gets its new home,

glad the wifes drying the washing in doors atm lol,

21.5E now regained and after a few more tweaks Ive got 10731 back.

A few more tweaks will probably bring the signal up a bit more but the sun has disappeared behind one of the hills and its getting chilly out there.

Need to get 16E back on its offset next.

1m --9/10E & 5E
80cm -- 13E
80cm -- 19E
1m -- 16E & 21.5/23.5E
60cm -- 28E - Sky UK
80cm -- 53E / 52.5E (if the Yahsat Euro beam ever comes on air again!)
60cm -- 42E
80cm -- 36E


Some of the dishes are in pretty ropey condition, and will be withdrawn when I get round to replacing some of the dishes.

I saw you guys were interested in this - to mildly put it - modest satellite, so I gave it a scan. Majestic seems to be the only channel worth keeping. No signal whatsoever on some frequencies.
If I haven't bore you enough so far, you'll forgive my posting some pictures I took - not the best.

Diyala & Salahaddin both have English language movies on in the evenings.

For most folks I think its just the thrill of the chase with this one. 21.5E has gone from reasonably difficult to fairly easy.

Confirmed - Im getting that one too.

As for which bird it is - well its in the transmission range for 21.5E, and Astra 3B seems to have a gap between 10900 & 11400.
