No I do not think so as 22 west serves a much larger region including Europe,Middle East,North & West Africa,
Whereas 24.8 west is a regional service that just serves Algeria & North East Africa.

Much the same as the Eutelsat 7 West A @ 7.3° West footprint for TDA from this location serves the whole of North Africa & The Middle East.

You are right in principle, but basically I'm asking if Algerian operator wants to keep the same package on two nearby satellites? If the package TDA at 22W is addressed to the Algerians in Europe and if the signal on the AlcomSat-1 has large variations day/night on our continent ,as it is now, then yes,we can believe that this package will remain at 22W.But,if there is no a technical problem to AlcomSat-1 and the satellite has no problem of inclination,as we can see this phenomenon in Europe, then the economic logic require the Algerian operator to drop the 22W beam.To which we can add also motivation national,a feeling which feeds the pride of many former colonial countries.
And there is one more thing that should be taken into account, the tendency of Arab countries and North Africa to cover their area of interest. This is clearly seen also from the map above. It's a very much MENA footprint that we find on many satellites Arabs or Eutelsat that has coverage on this area.
And if Algeria still wants to offer for their countrymen in Europe, they can do what the Arabs have done with the MBC package, two transponders covering two different regions from the same position,26.0E, one for their area-11284 V,27500,3/4, and one for East MENA-11270 V,27500,5/6,that has good coverage in Europe. In my area I have a signal of 12dB on this transponder.
But no matter what we think of the TDA package on SES-4 and if everything is ok with the signal in their area, then we can expect this package to stop transmitting from this position, perhaps even later this month.Wait and see.

Certainly, state TV channels will migrate to AlcomSat-1,they will be forced to do so, but it is not certain that private ones will do the same thing. The last will only do so to the extent that it is a financial advantage, but also if their editorial policy is free from the interference of the political/(religious) factor.
And let's not forget an important thing, often technology is developing faster than the mentalities of a people, especially in traditional societies. And as we know from recent history, the one who has modern technical means can communicate or,if you want, manipulate more easily through propaganda.I hope not to be in this case.

I do not know if you still have the signal on this satellite,
since Germany, the signal has dropped dramatically.

Is it just me, but but it seems these channels are available all the time now, instead of periodically?

Both transponders working OK on 100cm dish only 12240 H 30000 working on 88cm dish good strong signals since the transmissions changed from DVB-S & 3/4 FEC to DVB-S2 2/3 FEC :)

Signals seem the same here tbh, but now it seems to be available all the time now, whereas before it used to 'disappear' at certain times of the day.
