I've just read the following.
Poles Apart: Polish Government Bans New Wind Farms & All Existing Turbines Gone by 2035
Whilst it was grant/tariffs and bung madness in the late 90's to put wind power onto the UK mainstream energy map (of which the legal wrangles contine over land grab at the time continue), and the govenment has - quite rightly closed the Renewables Obligation in which the consumer was 'obliged' to cover the cost of farms that might never be built, how would removing existing installations and banning new ones solve anything ?
If you think this is not likley to impact on the UK, the newly completed CfD contract auction excludes onshore wind farms from the list of renewable technology. The removal of the feed-in tariffs effectively stops the consumer from having any say in the matter.
