100cm + Inverto Black Ultra + TM6900 HD Super+

Slightly up on timo's readings.

Mine's a 60cm dish with a lower quality Inverto Premium or something.

But all this seems to suggest there is a very slight drop in signal on the lower band. I wonder why?

Will have to get a reception report from the Canaries on the aforementioned transponders.
All coming in in Gran Canaria on 2.4m Channel Master. We previously did not have verticals. Can't wait for the BBC HD channels to move.

How do these signals compare to Channel 5?

How many engineers will be running round realigning to 27.5W then? For now...

Realigning would be no good for most, how many expats have receivers that can get those channels versus those who have a sky/freesat box that cant

IPTV is the future or a relocation :-Nooo

Yes, most probably will on a 2.4m. Nothing yet on the recent moves with a 135 despite getting 11053 1N. Will get more feedback.

here you can see the new 1N transponders, I marked all 1N transponders. The signal level difference is quite clear. I think the BBC hasn't moved because they would need an extra uplink antenna for 1N, which would mean three different satellites.

The BBC could have moved over to their Wood Norton DR uplink whilst the existing 2D uplink is novated over to 1N (and locked tracking-wise to the 1N Beacon), expect the BBC to move fairly soon if ITV/C4 have moved across. The Astra 2A TP isn't actually uplinked by the BBC so this may not initially be affected but if all their other TP's are moving to 1N then they might also bring this in-house uplink-wise.

Just tp distract you briefly from the boring (to us in Cyprus) 1N chat, we can get some ITVs and CH4s on 12.402V and 12.480V .Does anyone know if these transmissions are safe for the time being ?

That's the million dollar question which i believe no one has a definate answer...Judging by the way they suddenly switched over the six 2D transponders to 1N yesterday, the remaining "free" channels might follow soon...and that includes the BBC package!!

@M60: yes, I also expect the BBC to move soon... 2D has arrived at its end of life obviously. SES Astra have always switched off all TPs within a few days when they sent a satellite into retirement - like 1F or 1B, I remember that well.

What I really wonder about is the fact, that the interactive-streams TP (11.954) has not been moved to 1N, to confine coverage to the UK beam. It's still on a pan-European beam.

Yeah I am expecting BBC to go soon. Suddenly its the Corrie and deal or no deal fans that start panicking. I can now sell my old stock of digiboxes and white cards while the channels are still there :-)

One of three new birds - Astras 2F 2E & 2G launching over the next 3 years or so. (And yes they are being launched out of order!) All having spotbeam capability as well as the wider beams.

I think it won't be very likely that the spotbeam will stretch as far as Spain.
