n2yo is wrong because it is giving the period as 1174 when in fact it is 1430 minutes.

There you go - proves my point :-rofl2

Ive watched moving satellites numerous times on n2yo & it always takes 2 or 3 days until the site catches up when the bird reaches its new slot and stops moving.

Nothing there for me right now with the spectrum except a bit of spill from 1ºW.
It will be interesting to see if the tests will involve all beams, both UK spot and the 2 pan-Europeans,and if a UK beam test is receivable in Spain or Europe

Interesting,it's in the low band used by Astra 2D. Where are you located?

Thanks. Do you use a spectrum analyser? would any dvbs/s2 receiver get anything?
I guess this is a pan-european beam signal if you get it there

So is it an analogue signal? Then Analoguesat should have some equipment to use:)

More likely just an unmodulated signal. Ive seen that on numerous testing birds in the past.

SES normally test digital signals with the Luxembourg mux.

Id have a look but its about behind a tree here.

Anyone know which satellite this frequency is emanating from? - 11565V. It's in the vicinity of 2E.

I can't resolve any info from it, as it's too weak to show in the monitor, although the constellation diagram shows it as a QSPK signal.

I've checked all the sat charts from 5E > 5W, but it doesn't appear on any of them. I suppose it could be a feed of some description if the TP for whatever sat it's on is active.

A remote possibility of Astra 1N testing?

Could it be a feed from 0,8 degrees west (Intelsat 10-02)? There are several transmissions in this range (11400-11700) almost all the time. I can't check it now, I'm blind scanning for some feeds at 10E...

OK, that's probably what it is. Those sats are making it difficult to do any worthwhile checking given the proximity of 1N (if indeed it is in that area).
