Astra 2E: Canaries & Africa Reports

The TPs that migrated last night from Astra 2A are coming in here in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria at around 80% quality. 2F PE achieves about 60% quality. (Well installed 90cm dish, Inverto Black Ultra single LNB, Technomate 5402 HD M2).
My conclusion is that they are therefore on 2E (and not 2F).
 
Based upon reports indicating that ITV's 2,3 and 4 have migrated to 2E, I'm assuming that here is the appropriate place for this post.
ITV's 2, 3 and 4 HD.
Input 1 signal strength 100%
Input 1 signal quality 95%
Input 2 signal strength 100%
Input 2 signal quality 95%
These figures are way in excess of what they have been previously, possibly double on the input 2 numbers. Presumably, reception will continue when there is the slightest hint of rain in the air.

Not a lot Tivu. This time of year though we get an occasional shower and immediately lose reception.

If you look at the PE footprints for 2E and 2F, 2E seems more favourable to the south than 2F. This seems to be the case judging by your findings on your small dish. :)

I know it has been a bit wetter in Fuerte this winter but I don't think you will see enough rain to block that signal out.
You could try having a look at the 2A north channels listed on Kingofsat and see if you can get any of those, particularly any that you couldn't get before. The list will be going out of date as they move over but at least for now it gives you somewhere to check from. :)

Another 5 weeks and I can check for myself where we have gained/lost. :-biglaugh

The official dish size for the Canaries is 120cm for 2F. I have proven that a properly aligned 90 cm dish with good quality LNB and receiver will pull it in (I have two such intatallations). Unfortunately many people here have old installations with poorly aligned dishes, poor quality LNBs and old, low sensitivity receivers and do not receive 2F. I am expecting to receive some reports from a local forum today which should make it clear if such systems can pull in 2E.

I had a new 1.2m, with Black Ultra, dish put up in November and it was pulling in ITV2, 3 & 4HD from 2A north no problem. Judging by Milestones report it should be bouncing the Sky box up and down now. :)
Next time I am over I will stick my TM5402HD on and see how the various channel strengths are looking.
 
120cm was good for 2A North in Fuerte and Lanzarote but no good here in Gran Canaria.

So can you get ITV 2, 3 and 4HD on your 90cm now?
 
They scan in. I haven't viewed them yet as they are encrypted.

Yes, that'll be due to the 1N PE stuff moving to 2A last night.

Don't yet know whether it'll stay on 2A or move again.
 
I'm getting 25-30 more channels today, including,
Sky Arts 2 HD
Sky Arts 1 and 2 SD
Sky Sports 3and F1 HD
All Sky Sports SD
All Sky Movies HD
Film 4 HD
Pick TV
National Geographic HD
Many others.
Why do you think these have gone to 2A as opposed to 2E Tivu?, excellent figures here, strength on inputs 1 and 2 100%, quality on 1 and 2 90%.
