Might be used for news feeds but unless someone has got the time to run regular blind scans to see in anything turns up in the low band then shes turned off.

How can 2D broadcast at the moment as all the frequencies she can use are taken up by 1N?

What sort of C/N would you get on those transponders using a zone-one?

No idea, don't have one. My readings were with the Gibertini 1.25. I have an old 60cm dish cabled up, I'll check with that just for comparison.

Thanks Llew. The charts are interesting but I can't relate to the levels.

You mean comparing C/N levels between the TPs? If you check any level using the Constellation Monitor, you see a level variation, often + or - a dB or so in real time (at least my setup does...)

I can't get my head around it. You've halved the dish diameter and the C/N has changed from 20dB down to 7dB. And it also skipped some frequencies, found others that are not there, and the SR and FEC are all over the place. Is this pointing at the same satellite, or is it just because the power level is down?

Is there any way in that software to output the scan as dBuV, instead of dBm?
easy to convert but dBm is standard for satellite measurement.

Ouch! That's weird that one off the 60cm dish. It's definitely on 28E - I have a couple of other cables from it, one to the main TV that I'm watching BBC1 HD on at the mo.

I'll do another scan similar to the one on the Gibbi - have to wait until the morning now.

All my meters are in dBuV by default. And I've left them like that because a scale that counts up as the signal gets stronger makes more sense to me than one where the number gets smaller.

BTW does anyone know what 11008V is? Can't get a lock on it even though it is pretty powerful. Also what beam is it on?

Yiu're right BF - I forgot that I had the dish on a Diseqc! Doh! It was scanning Hotbird on the other port of the 2-port switch. Thanks. So, for Huevos, here's the amended sweep on the right satellite. The 11126 scan is really the vertical channel, obviously being caught by the scanner due to cross polarisation.

Whatever site you're looking at is simply using a predicted position from previous positions and speed of movement, not an actual observation. It will catch up in a day or two when the satellite will seem to reverse into the correct position.

Yes. Good benchmarks to see if the North beam TPs switch to 2F pan-European.
