Had some strong gusts in the past few hours but has calmed down since. Recent downpours have saturated the ground so I think some trees in the local area already battered by several storms this winter may fall.

Just kicking off here, two waste bins from next door are currently on their way to the pub.

Something on the top floor is no longer bolted to what it used to be attached to following one strong gust a few minutes ago. It's now rattling about on the asphalt. Stay indoors everyone.

It knocked my sky dish out of alignment, I’ve managed to move it back now but just goes to show how much effort goes in when putting them up. The 90cm motorised was fine remarkably. Fingers crossed that one survives tomorrows 75mph.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!

Met Office forecast for S.E. England is gusts to 75mph, and the BBC Weather forecast for this built-up part of W. London is 50-55 mph - I'm more worried about the very tall tree in the neighbours' garden than I am about the dishes!

I am in the "red" zone - gusts of up to 90mph. Wonder if the bins will stay upright...

No problems here so far - the Sky Z2 on the conservatory roof seems fine, as does the 1.2m Gibby down the garden which still seems to get 53E (always marginal due to the pitched edge of a neighbouring roof) to 30W, although the latter end of the arc may have moved very slightly.

Will aim to take another look tomorrow afternoon when we have had the forthcoming "bit of a blow"!

PS: was talking to several people (my dentist, the guy at the Tesco C&C) this morning and they were apparently still blissfully unaware of the coming "problems". It puzzles/worries me that so many people don't seem to keep a close eye on the weather forecasts - this is the UK after all:rolleyes:.

PPS: currently I'm finding the insertion of Quoted posts to be very "iffy" as sometimes that works but often it doesn't - so have the winds already got to the main data distribution networks??????:confused

Eunice is apparently a storm that will break records for damage.

(The amount of Cobra beer MPs are quaffing that that emergency party - sorry, meeting for starters......)

Bit concerned by the TD110 on a NPRM completely exposed on my dormer roof. Hasn't budged in 6 months, will point it south east and hope for the best

Roped up my exposed, mast-mounted Gibby. I've had tussles with that one during gales.
