Apparently setting your language to something other than English will solve this problem.

Excellent! Changed preferred language to French, and audio is OK on all channels

Forgot about BADR5 which will have a fairly decent field strength there. I spotted an impressive 3+mtr dish installed above a bar in Malia, Crete last week. The bar was proudly displaying the fact you can watch BBC and ITV in there!

It does not affect HD boxes. I have chosen Punjabi so that Euro News still comes through in English.

Thanks for the tips folks, i have managed to get back a visual reception on the bbc news iplayer channels, i tried changing the language region to france in the subtitle to no avail, my wife is junping up and down at the thoughts of the silent grand prix, is that the way it is going to be? tennis, horse racing and golf i can quietly stand but let's face it you have to smell the fuel.

Make the most of them - the BBCi services are to be trimmed to ONE in the not too distant future

Indeed, that is the worst option stated in the latest plan: But there's a lot of sabre rattling and expectation dampening going around, so like all things best to wait and see the reality.

But, if we do end up with just one, why not scrap Interactive altogether and just launch a "BBC Sport" Channel?

That would be a pretty empty channel then...

Do the BBC have enough sport to host a dedicated sports channel?

They could set up a 'Sports News' channel to rival that of Sky with various bits of sport interspersed (ie what currently went on the Red Button). All wishful thinking I guess but after what I read yesterday the only chance we'll ever see anything new out of the BBC now is when a Labour government, who historically are very pro-BBC, get back in to power and give them a decent licence fee settlement.
