Best satellite dish 2019

8 foot fence now fitted behind my pole ground mounted dishes to protect them from the wind :)

That looks weak. It would certainly fly away with wind gusts we get over here. The biggest problem is that fence breaking apart and start hammering the dishes making more damage than not having anything there.

The fence is fine there are several steel supports at the front & a old fence behind it,
I have added some wooden framework to the back & front,
It has withstood all the winds today as well :)

Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

Personally, I think the Kathrein is overpriced. It's well constructed but not that much more than a Gibertini. However, I have no experience of that make. I do have a Gibertini and can vouch for it's constuction and durability...

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

It's also a 90cm diameter, but it is an equivalent gain at all frequencies. It also has a no quibble 2 year guarantee on everything.

Go for the 1m, unless you are fussy about size, and price.

The cheaper of the two sellers (HM Sat Berlin) also has the same product on Amazon's UK site.

Actually bought some stuff through their Amazon.co.uk store a few weeks ago. Shipped to NI for £9 flat rate. No complaints especially as most GB based stores would charge at least that as a supplement for delivery here.

Whoever installed it failed to pull down the rain cap on the connectors, you could have water in the cable.

And/or the dish is now very slightly out of alignment???

PS: it would be a good idea to seal up unused LNB input connectors.

PPS: If buying another LNB, why not get the Twin version, rather than the Quad version because the Twin should be cheaper, and is said to be slightly "better" than the Quad.

there is nothing to install.... rain cap is already there, you just need to pull it down from the body of the LNB. I am convinced there is nothing wrong with LNB, most likely antenna needs to be realigned.

LNB's are dirt cheap, might as well change it when you replace the dish.

The broken arm has probably caused the LNB feedarm to droop slightly - and that is the likely cause of the misalignment of the LNB and the loss of signal strength.

"Dawn" did you mean at the morning time? :confused
If it was meant to be "down" than it can not change reception in any way. Perhaps when you pull down rain cup you changed position of the broken feedarm and that could change the reception.
