dreamer786, with the card running ECM times around 0.1 seconds I don't think there's much to be had from overclocking it. I'll be moving my card to CCcam/Smargo tonight and see if it still performs as well as it does in NewCS/Omnikey. I doubt I'll bother to overclock.

I now have the HD problem and movies not clearing using Smargo on Ubuntu.
On ubuntu the device is /dev/ttyUSB0 and entered the
boxkey: /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx
but movies/HD not clearing - all other channels OK.
Does it require a pin as well? I was a bit wary about entering because of the warning in the cfg file.

I'm at work yet mate and have not started work with this new release yet, but I'm pretty sure you don't need a pin in the config. That function is simply to auto enter the pin when its required.

Be aware of the difference in the boxkey arrangement between NewCS and CCcam.

NewCS = 12345678
CCcam = 12 34 56 78

I have the line exactly as shown in my post with a space between each digit but no joy. I also get a message "card intialisation failed" when it starts up but then it finds the caid and entitlements and it works, but only for the basic package not HD/movies. I did not try sport yet. I will test some more when the GF goes to bed LOL.

Hi guys, finally got my whitey read in the smargo. Only works in cccam direct; with newcs I STILL cannot get it to read. No matter... omnikey reads @ 120 while with smargo 155 :eek:. I'll use the ominikey, it's a better quality reader :-worship. Good to know that the smargo is up and ready though.
Great to see n2 back in the emu, improvements all around.

Good stuff!

... and now we wait for the italians

Hi there, when you did move to Ccam and Smargo, could you please post the config? Or maybe even add the Smargo option to your Config Creator?

Thanks a lot!

I've reverted back to CCcam/NewCS for the time being.

With CCcam 2.1.3 most ECMs were being delivered in 200 - 400 ms, but every minute or two an ECM would take around 900ms. Enough to cause a freeze. The server I was connecting to (which I control) was 1 hop away on a near by network (same ISP so not too much hoping over routers going on).

Setup was DM600 + Nabilosat DarkstarII and CCcam 2.1.3, with the card in the internal reader.

In my case, NewCS+CCcam seems to be a lot more consistent with ECM times averaging around 200ms.

"SMARTCARD WRITE DELAY" seems to be broken for the phoenix on x86, the value is just ignored...

Anyone tested this with a real COM phoenix yet?

I realize you are trying to keep all the info together, but I dont see what the problem is here. The two things are related (CCcam 2.1.3 and the use of the 0963 card).

The reason I posted what I had found here was because it was specifically related to CCcam 2.1.3. By all means, copy it to the other thread if you like.

I agree mate you post was quite relevant. The post I made was not intended for any one user, but a simple request to not fragment information. What you've not seen is the work done by myself and other mods / admins across the rest of the Dreambox section to stop many threads popping up about the same topic. The information in this thread will remain untouched but I don't want it to become another tangent thread all about the 0963 card.

I tried CCCam 2.1.3 with my TNTSAT card last night. It cleared the SD channels but not the HD channels. Am I missing a trick?

It seems you have to set the BOXKEY and the CLOCK FREQUENCY. I had left off the clock freq and had no access to HD channels, but this was sky so yours might be different.

Got my TNTSAT card working thanks to everyone here on the forum :)

How do you configure CCCam to specfically read the card slot first? I switch between my Irish white card using MGCamd in an Omnikey to TNTSAT sitting in the internal card reader, but CCCam looks at 'Network' before it looks for 'card', resulting in a delay before the TNTSAT channel decodes.

I've got exactly the same thing, ECM times of 0.1 (on my Lan) and then every 10-15mins I get a freeze of about 10 seconds enough to be annoying.

I'll also be going back to a CCcam and NewCS double solution.

2.13 is good just not as polished as the latest NewCS
