Chasing Midnight New Years Eve 2009

A very very low key entry into 2010 in Iceland - some nice pictures around the country, some music and a slow fade from a large 2009 into 2010.

RTPi more hopeless than normal - a couple of years ago they went to madeira for the fireworks, but stayed in the studio this year.

Yeah, I'm very surprised, that BBC World News doesn't show it's own country's fireworks, because it's fabulous every year. 2 years ago I and my friends were very disappointed, because we were at house, where only BBC World News from cable was available. And it was showing some news from Iran or Afghanistan. Well, I know it's important, but god damnit, It's New year on United Kingdom. People wanna see fireworks from London. And the wierdest part of all that is, that BBC World News were showing other fireworks (from Auckland today), and even Live... Well, not from UK...

Yes, it is worrying, the BBC seems to have too many nutters on the staff these days.


Vesti / Rossija 24 even stayed for "auld lang syne" after all the fireworks had stopped.

I was offered the information yesterday, and thought nothing about it until later this evening about the same rumour.
