Wasn't 'Five Boys' a sandwich of milk and dark chocolate?
Ah, that was Fry's Chocolate Sandwich bar, I think the plain choccy was the inner layer between the milk layers.

I used to like Pacers and Toffee or Peanut Treats. If remember rightly The Toffee Treats were in a blue packet and the peanut ones were in a yellow packet.

I also used to like a can of Quatrro which was a carbonated tropical flavoured drink. Unfortunately it is also no longer available.

As for the previous posts regarding Tiffin, they are still made under licence by a Cadbury subsidiary in Toronto in Canada. In fact there are a lot of Cadbury bars that you can buy in Canada that are not available here in the UK.

How about bazooka joes bubble gum, shrimps i remember as sort of a chewy material and flying saucers filled with sherbet. About 30 years ago was on a beery coach trip, when we got of at another pub stop there was a sweet shop next door someone spotted flying saucers in one of those large sweet jars we all queued whist we each had a paper bag weighed out by a little old lady who had never sold so many in one go!

Speaking of drinks, back in the day, our KFC used to sell Cresta (It's frothy man, as advertise by the polar bear) in strawberry flavour. Not usually into strawberry flavour but that was great.

Again, still definitely available. In fact I even saw them In France for sale in Auchan, Avignon North.

Excellent news: What sort of quantity would you have to ship to make supplying Forum Members worthwhile?

At the receiving end.
I used to like Aztec Bars when I was young (made by Cadbury's, if I remember rightly).

For a decent retro sweet store, try here:

PS: I remember Cresta, too. Lovely drink that was!

Not at all. We used to buy the little tins (like Andrew's Liver Salts IIRC) from the Co-op wayyyyyy down here in Wirral.

I only walked one way - if I walked the other way I'd attract the wrong kind of attention

Can you still get Barley Sugar twists? Used to be long sticks in a jar in the shops. And Licorice Wood from Boots...

Blimey, I used to get a Jubbly from the corner shop after I got off the school bus. Maybe I was well off but then the fare was only 3d.....

and fruit polos.

Technically speaking, you can still get them, but under a different name, as our merkin cousins have them known as "Life savers", and even come in Mint form too... :)

Ah yes, but Lifesavers are a different manufacturer and have always existed alongside Polo, remember trying the mint ones back in the early 60s and not liking them, as they were a different mint flavour, compared to our British version.
