Signal also well down here.....maybe -20-30% ......since Jan 1..... :-( .......

Seems the sidelobes are on the move again in my favour. Astra 2E/2F signals here in Menorca are starting to return to what they were last spring/summer. :)

We don't have that trouble here. Was 20ºC and sunny today.

2E must be close to it´s first birthday now. Does anyone have recordings using the same set up to directly compare the signal one year on?

Huevos, I remember you started recordings on your 1.8m dish, is it a major work up to set that up again for a direct comparison?

Noticed today that the shadow of the LNB is getting close to the centre of my PF dish around mid morning so I assume we must be due for some outages soon - Any0ne know when that is due here in Valencia? I like to check the at time to see if my dish has moved at all in all the recent winds!

Cheap piece of junk Spanish (Tecatel) 120cm(x110) dish, Inverto Ultra twin LNB and Sky HD box.

Here are the averages for all transponders (taken every 10 minutes between 18/02/2014 and 18/06/2014, 1.1m dish, 38.5N, 0.5W, including zero readouts where a transponder might have gone offline due to rain, etc).

Code:
10714 10729 10744 10758 10773 10788 10803 10817 10832 10847 10862 10876 10891 10906 10921 10964 10994 11023 11053 11067 11097 11126
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.71 8.60 8.82 8.82 8.50 8.78 8.52 8.96 8.48 8.84 7.56 9.06 8.61 9.27 8.53 8.95 8.96 9.15 9.27 8.99 9.15 9.22

Using this for realigning my dish today (thanks again, Huevos) following strong winds knocking it out . Planning on using 10832 (as 10862 encrypted) - is this a good choice? I understand 2E is still weaker than 2F so still better to aim for 28.35?

Normally use 10773 as the H frequencies here (Alicante) have proved more difficult to receive. Your suggestion of 10862 ( encrypted) is obviously ok if you are using the 'Quality' signal reading on your receiver to set up as opposed to a visual (picture on tv screen).

Just getting your strong winds here now together with a spot of rain.....reached over 24ºC yesterday sun all day so no complaints!

Best wishes, enjoy your weekend. :)

My 1.1m has gone offline on most transponders. Probably the wind has done the business on it. So got to set that up again. And with any luck, with this wind, the phone will start ringing again.

Went with your suggestion of 10773 - took bleeding forever - every time I had a strong signal I tightened the bolts and the signal would drop again. More winds to come so may be futile anyway and I'll have to do it again! Roll on decent IPTV (admit probably heresy in this forum!)

I know what you mean! Set up a LH 1.1 last week to test signal round here (on the fringe) but have not been able to use it yet due to wind. Have decided to set up a "bent" Fam 1.37 as test dish, it will move less in the wind!

As for the phone.........mine is on message only for tonight! (wind speed in excess of 70 Kph) gusts higher!

My LH110 is using the old style wall bracket without the gussets.

Mine is on the 50mm we use for the 1.4! Fam, but the design of the mount assembly is ****, (under engineered) so it acts like a jelly fish in this wind!

There is already a dedicated IPTV section on this forum:-

https://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/iptv-internet-based-web-tv-streaming-support-forum.600/

Internet streaming is the way forward for fringe reception when all else fails, use it to stream uk psb channel when astra 2e does its daily wobble.

This site may also be of interest found it today on another forum:-

http://www.shadownet.ro/channels.php

Good luck

Regards

I hope you'll take your Installer to task for this shortcoming.
