Chris, if you read through my Gibby thread, you'll see how I strung it and how I straightened it out. It's a very big dish and soft aluminium can get easily deformed during transportation, especially being at the back of the van for nearly a week.
 
If you have a large patio door, you can carry out the 'string' test on it

Still trying to find it. It's getting close to booting windows up!

Once I got the string and a bit of time I will have a go.
 
I think, if you can manage to do test on the mount, that will be even better. That is because when dish is installed it can change it's shape slightly under it's weight.
 
How did you get on with this Chris, my new dish was out on a flat surface i straightened it but still need to string it in the coming days.

The ball of string I ordered, hasn't got here yet, how do you straighten out the dish?
 
Ive got a big flat floor in the SH i just marked on the floor were it was out the braced a bit of wood across the two points and applied pressure then kept checking it until it all touched the floor, i still need to string it/large stretchy elastic bands it might need a bit more i will post pictures if so pal

¿Can you please advise what diameter circular mirrors you are using.......online have seen various on Amazon, the Bay etc ?

Morning D, I am using these pal, I had some slightly larger ones but my grandkids claimed them:), but these are fine, really made a difference messing with the 1.2 dish allowed me to place the lnd on the spot :).
