Very nice fabricating skills there, looking very good indeed.

Thanks John,

Connection to dish will be something like this, one picture is from nelsons dish hope you don't mind nelson.

Will keep original dish back joining, will buy/make long ring eyes, will go though dish and join to inside steel,

5mm gap for oilite bush each side.

Eye bolt will be long go through dish and connect to inside frame

Yes, very interesting, great idea. But I would not say simple.

More work done today. its starting to take shape now. gone a bit OTT this is one serious mount. can only just pick the chain part up.

The two vertical parts need cutting to size and welding. then its down to drilling and bearings.

Main concern is the motor its a big heavy duty one but I have some weight here now, Might have to do as trust mentioned industrial motor. don't mind spending 5/6 hundred pound, will see how it goes.

Like it ....
Can't beat a good sturdy mount though BM (said the actress to the Bishop) ..... you won't have to worry about it coming undone when the wind gets up ;)

Must agree John. but its well OTT. one good thing the chain ring will act as a counter balance and if I ever decided to go bigger it would easily handle something a few sizes up.

Can you actually still lift the assembly? How much more weight is there yet to add?

Yes can lift it but heavy, not much weight to add, maybe same weight as dish.
