Yup
Time for a "moan" about the last couple of weeks during which here are just a few of the things that have gone /are going "wrong" ("in no particular order"!):
- Got diagnosed with an arthritic condition in the left lower leg, which makes a lot of the gardening work (etc.) very difficult, and then almost had an argument with the doctor when I went in for an emergency review about that yesterday morning. Now got to go "private" as the NHS can't/won't do much for months.
- SWMBO is having a lot of medical issues, some of which could be serious, and I have to ferry her everywhere
- Ran the mower over the cable and cut it - so now it's only about 2/3 the original length
- Managed to get SWMBO's car started after 6 months (she had 2x cataract ops and hasn't driven since Oct) - and drove it a bit to clean up the discs and then parked it round the back of the house for a couple of days. Yesterday I went to drive it back round the front for a good exterior cleaning - and the clips supporting the front passenger window broke and the glass dropped right down with a big CLUNK (another £100-£200 to pay - luckily the guy who will be doing the job will be getting some decent s/h parts to keep the cost down)
- Then got out the big Karcher powerwasher to clean that car, only to find that the motor won't start (have ordered a new start cap in the hope that will cure the problem, but that means I will have to dismantle the whole damned machine to do the replacement). OTOH, the small Karcher still worked, and so I did get the car moderately clean.
- The garage bench grinder went "us" this morning
- Blood pressure is very high as a result of all the above and more - and the new pressure reduction tablets make me feel very "dozy" around this time of day.
Now, it's over to you lot to make me feel that I am actually having a very "lucky" period by comparison!
