I found a small dongle in the box of spares over the weekend, I'm sure the rest of the bits (aerial, cd and remote ) are nearby. Packaging states Zennox and installation disc compatible for Win98/2000/XP so it certainly isn't recent.

Like this one, but the included antanna has a longer lead.

Any idea of the chip/chipset that lurks inside ?

Just been trying to google them, some people still have them for sale. £10 + postage.

No one seems to list what the chipset is.

Still googling.....

I have bought 2 of these dongles, and I have no complaint with them what so ever.
IMG_1171.PNG

They claim the offset is less than 0.5ppm.

I have run kalibrate on both of the dongles.

The first dongle was 1.395ppm
My second dongle was 1.470ppm

My cheap Chinese dvb dongle was 61.223ppm

So am I fool in believing they should be less than 0.5ppm?

Do those Nooelec square dongles make any appreciable difference to the number of aircraft tracked?

The dvb-t dongle has an offset of 61 ppm where as the the dvb-t2 dongle has an offset of 1.3/1.4 ppm

The dvb dongle will drift quite a bit as it gets hot, and over a couple of days the number of aircraft tracked will decrease as it drifts.

Plus it doesn't seem to give a very clean signal.

My noo elec dongles stay constant at 1.4/1.5 and deliver a cleaner signal.

Over a couple of days you will still see the number of tracked aircraft will remain fairly consistent.
