Am i the only person to install a skystar 2 pci card and have problems getting a picture.
My Set up
I have a 90cm motorised dish with with a Topfield TF5000CI receiver. I have a 2.4Ghz computer with a 160Gb and 80Gb hard drives. I have a pc-tv card that works fine.
I have just bort a skystar2 pci card installed it and connected it to my dvb receiver via a coax cable which has suitable connectors for the sat. receiver LNB out and satpc-tv card.
When Iselect the Skystar program and click on setup4pc
The status shows as red not green. when I click on status the signal quality shows "signal out of lock". There is no figure for SNR it is infact greyed out.
The very first time I clicked on setup4pc the status was green and I was getting a signal figure of 45 and SNR read 2.5 . To my limited knowledge this is poor reception. There was no picture on my screen at all.
I need some serious help, if I had known skystar was not user friendly it would never have been bought. If any one can help I would appreciate it. Hopefully skystar will get round to providing a useful instruction sheet.
