dreambox 500 card unknown

i have installed pli 3 on box got box key for white card and added it too config 2.14 but when you see info says card unknown or not inserted



iv used the boxkey generator and its correct but 3 dreamboxes will not read the white card any help on this thanks

Has the card been activated yet in a Sky Box? Wont work till it is.

Strange one that. I think the next step for me is to check the debug output from CCcam.
Logon to your box via telnet and start CCcam in debug mode. Type the following :-

cd /var/bin
./CCcam_2.1.4 -d

pm me the debug output, do not post it in this thread.
If CCcam does not start with that command then the filename of the binary is wrong. Check the name of the CCcam binary by typing :-
ls
that will list the contents of the /var/bin folder
simply exchange the correct name in the second line above.

aah sorry , you've not enough posts nor have you been a member long enough to have access to pm, scrap that one.
Well, DCC has a built in telnet client but I guess you'll have to read up a little on it. Google will help. It's really very easy.
Use the commands I've listed above and CCcam will tell you what it's doing when it starts.
The debug output will help you... err....... debug your problem !

Its more than likely one of the DM500s boxes that have a dodgy card reader. Its a common problem with some of the clone 500s boxes

yep you're probably right mate. I just wanted to see the 'No need to start ...' output from CCcam !

looks like nothing more than ccam.config error...in ccam info (yellow button) the entitlements should show the card (caid, indent- valid from, etc)

You may need to change the CLOCK FREQUENCY (don't know best settin for S*K) and input you box key

BOXKEY :/dev/sci0 00000000

357000 for Sky UK mate. 675000 would fry the card big style

357000 works fine for me in both my DM7020 and my TM9100

just tried another DM box that has a 'new' 2.1.4 image gettin the same prob as 'psxchipper' card unknown...same card works 100% on other DM box with older 2.1.3...maybe the image m8...best luck

well i tried the one from b16mcc on his images and all sorted now reads the card , now the problem i have is that done scan set it up as port 16000 port shows success and done the scan and get most channels but cant view movies or sports but shows bravo and liveing so getting them so cant work out why not getting other channels? the card i use in another server has the same entilements and shows all is there something i have not clicked on? iv reset cam shows entilements

It could be a boxkey issue. It could also be an entitlements issue, further more those 2 are likely to be connected issues.
Did you create your own boxkey ?
Have you double checked it ?
Are you sure you entered the boxkey correctly, the line shown in gerryl's post above is wrong !
You must enter the boxkey with a space after each pair of numbers as shown below

BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 A1 B2 C3 D4

Any chance you posting that DM500.img save me fookin around with the 'lame' box got here...card unknown!

got the box too work it must be a box issue i got another box used the same image and bang it works tried on the other it dont, but could not get all channels even with the same entitlements so got a mate too mess around with the cccam config now getting all but he had too add or take bits off the config files now all running sweet

the image showed entitlements and card showing on 1box but not on the other
