Echostar ad-3000-ip firmware

Hi,

I am hoping someone has a copy of the Echostar ad-3000-ip firmware v900 or v901beta. I can only find version for the ad-3000-ipvia which is a different version.
I know I cannot go back to old 300 or 600 versions. Hoping someone still has a copy as Echostar is no longer around.

I have checked my old PC and I have the following if its any help:- ad3000ipvcs_1000.zip and versions 804, 800 & 700. No sign of v.900 or 901 here.

If any of those are useful to you PM me and I'll email them to you.

Is there an option of a factory reset in the Echostar menu? It might be worth trying that and starting from scratch. Didn't think of that... was in the process of loading the v11 firmware messed up half way and made it worse. Tried it again and all is now fine :) running v11 and all the...

I think I have the 900 and 1000 versions here on the main PC if the 1100 is not to your liking.

Channel Hopper. If you can post the 900 version please I will try. The via versions seem to get mixed up and can junk the box if loaded.

Got a bit further now. I go to upload displayed and it does a upload of the first two bars on the software being installed for 1 min then stops. I have seen people suggesting I need a bootstrap to be installed first before loading firmware?

I heed the warning but I am at cross way of what I do next. I know I started to get corruption of the channel listings and used to load the firmware to over come the issue some time ago. it now does not boot just giving me circles on the display after power up but it does except the upload command and starts off but the stops the transferr.As its only now used for the dish positioning it does not bother me. I though the boot strap might be corrupt but would that even allow me to get as far as I am with showing upload on the display? I cannot factory reset as it does not boot so catch 22.
I did read you were trying to JTAG through the processor and look at blowing the EEPROM which is an interesting option. I never sent it back for repair when Echostar were doing the chip replacements. They were a cracking box at the time.

If it stops uploading a bin file part of the way through, that will certainly mean it has encountered a dead cell in the eeprom.
It's a nice box when it works OK, but now my faulty ones are only fit to be used for dish driving.

I managed to successfully do a upload and bin file size was 259kb. So some parts of the memory appear ok. I see the upload file sizes are all the same approx 1.5 meg.

Are you saying you have not got the Echoloader to transfer the bin files?

The name of the loader is "echoload2.exe", last firmware was AD3000IP_V1100_20040108_w.bin and have 1572928 byte.
Files with ~250kB are settings.

This may be the one you need, bearing in mind I downloaded it from the Echostar site a long time ago as the 'new' loader.

thank you very much,th com port is definitively low -9v rcv and dtr low so impossible to upload the file, and replacing the U201 with a blank eeprom will not solve the problem, i cannot not program the u201 because I don't have the socket to insert it into the promblower

hello from didier, i havethe file you want, mine ad3000ip us dead with the eprom U201 no hope to recover the box, because eprom must be preprommed before soldering a new one
