I have it now with 12.2 dB signal. I deleted the tp and added it back no change. I tried a few mHz either side but no good either. Then I went to the Sat Finder on the F15 which I hardly ever use and which I really haven't taken the trouble to understand. I did a bit of button pressing there and lo and behold when I exited it there was the signal for me to scan. Don't ask me exactly what I did.

Well I've been out and hung a damp cloth over the LNB and that reduced the reading to zero...

Of course it would. If you want to attenuate the signal you have to do it on the cable between the LNB and the tuner (like timo's attenuator). Or you may momentarily swap the F15 on the 85cm dish, and observe the difference...

Well, I've done that before to align a dish on a strong T/P and it worked. I appreciate an attenuator would be a better solution. If I get a chance to run a cable from the other dish to the F15 I may. However, I'll investigate what dxhound did first.

It does work but when an attenuator isnt to hand you have to improvise......

Hmmm...ok...I set up the small oval dish with a nothing special LNB on 13E, connected the DrHD.....nothing different from eScapes......no amount of twiddling with the spectrum analyser, auto scanning, or blind scanning makes a difference.

I have noticed this afternoon the frame drop out has almost dissappeared....however, the audio track has also dissappeared..oh well you can't have everything.....

I can't see any difference in video, it is still jerky and the logo is still ugly and flickering...

Difficult to sit and relax to this at the moment, the sound is juddering very badly every 30 -40 seconds or so. Not good when you are listening to high pitched music. Pictures of Lichfield Cathedral very nice so will persevere with it. landscape channel will take a lot of beating though.

All the best

Pete

Playing the recording back the video quality is fine now but the audio stutters once a minute or so.

Agreed AS, the sound is definitely not right. At one point this afternoon the audio selection was showing MPEG but it went back to AAC. I did post a comment on their Facebook page earlier today but that was when the audio was off altogether.

Does this mean you're finally getting to like your VU Duo? Still listed as "Just Horrible" in your profile:)
