Sounds like a good choice for around 134 pounds. Good luck with it.
I am hoping that keeping with Technomate will keep
things simple when setting up the USALS etc. Thinking at things logically, i would presume that i will not have to re-align my dish as that (read My Very First Installation thread) was a right sods opera for a complete novice such as moi!! :)

Dish shouldn't be a problem, I swap between 3 receivers on my motor and apart from occasionally having to send to reference, it doesn't cause problems. You may still need to edit the relevant transponder though.

All up and running by 1030pm. Found everything i wanted...... then promptly lost it all!! Said it was going to be a Sods opera!
I'll have to spend a little more time on it as the set up is different to the last TM box. I don't think it could have saved
everything properly as i was sat watching RM TV on EB9 with no problem, it found the 12054 Tp without any problem, then
all of a sudden i get the No or Bad signal pop up.

Look for a dodgy F connection first .................. If it wasn't too clever in the first place, removing the cables from the original box to the new one may have put it "on the edge".

I dont get any signal from RM TV on 9E

The wind moving the dish an ants eyelash might have something to do with it though lol

It was there and in place last night on EB9, then for some reason it just disappeared along with all the other channels of that TP. I couldn't have saved properly. I'll give it another crack this evening, although i might be distracted by
the CL football on Sky.

What a silly Farquhar!! The good lord only knows how i got anything at all last night when i didn't set the box lon/lat location!! Amazing how reading through a few
paragraphs in a user manual can bring it all flooding back to you! Long story short..... all up and running, channels saved and loaded.... watching wall to wall RMTV
again. Once again, my thanks to all and sundry who chipped in and pointed a lost soul in the right direction. Won't make so much of a stranger of myself in future.

I didn´t even know Lat and Long were a necessary imput. My receivers do not need it. Something to do with the fact that you are motorised I guess?.

Yes, if you are using a motor with USaLS, the receiver needs to know your coordinates to know where to send the motor for the different satellites.

No wonder you motorised guys have such a good time. I should imagine it takes the effort out of pointing the dish. Don´t have to tweak the dish (left a bit right a bit; up, down a bit) (sounds like Lesley Phillips in the Navy Lark) us non motor guys.

Until a gale blows and you have to figure out if it's the dish blown round the stub or the whole lot blown round the mount!!!

My mount/dish is going absolutely nowhere!! It's locked off tighter than a ducks botty!!
