My Satellite Setup
1.2 m Echostar at Twotec twinrotor with lnb changer
My Location
Nijmegen Netherlands
Eutelsat 65 WEST
Should be in position and ready to transmit .
Someone hit it ?

Eutelsat announced back on May 2nd that 65 West was operational. But other than the 4 telemetry beacons, I've never seen any signal from it here in the U.S.

Lyngsat is now listing two TV channels in extended C Band from 65 W.

4506 V 5000
4510 V 2083

Unfortunately, I have strong terrestrial interference from 4500 to 4510 MHz. I can see the 4510 V 2083 signal on a spectrum analyzer, but the interference prevents me from locking it. Anyone getting these?

Yes, i also spotted the extended Cband frequencies listed last night. I might just be able to squeeze around to it, i will see if there is anything coming our way into the UK

Both signals seen here in the UK and locked showing program ..... Ignore Hor trace indication, it should be Vert. 65.5 West Extended Cband.webp on 4510 V with good signal for a 1.8 CM

4506 V is weaker but I don't use the appropriate Cband stuff yet...
A fine tune adjust will be necessary

Yes John, nothing yet in H but probably more frequencies will be activated soon, this satellite will be used for RIO Olympic Games Contributions.

Good info Feedsat, i think i'll stay parked up on this bird for a while and just monitor :)

.... Is anybody able to confirm / clarify a what looks like a beacon type signal at 11.520 V ??.
Thanks.

Hum, the official frequencies for the telemetry are 10,949.7 and 11,200.3 MHz. There are also unmodulated carries just inside the band at 4500 and 4800 horizontal. Not completely sure about the 4500 one because of the terrestrial interference here.

@lost_mesa ...... found the source of the mystery carrier at 11.520V. This seems to be coming from a source across the road from me at an Infants school ?? but will look into it further.

I have found the two official beacons at 10.949 H & 11.200 V on the analyser but they are not very strong, thanks for the info.

Further to last ..... and i'm 25% sure i'm not loosing it, BUT-- on the same position with no inclination adjustments are two more beacon like sigs which do not have the same characteristics as my mystery one.
These are: 11.701.1 H & 12.199.8 V. Anybody else to have a look to see if they can see see them ?.

Forget the last ...... these are the "Star One C1" sat beacons at same location.

... 4506 V now showing program

Which LNB are you using?

The JRC one Graham, thought about dropping the modded TiT on tho for a look.
Actually probably not a bad idea to try a swap comparison , the signals have dropped a tad

I'm set up in continuous sneaky stealth monitoring mode on Horizontal at the moment to see if they throw some test carriers up :)

That would be great interest John if you have the time, thank you. respect-048.gif
