Deciding that his daughter Elly May needs to become a 'lady', the family move to Beverly Hills, where their boondock ways are forgiven on account of their wealth. But when widower Jed decides to re-marry, there's no shortage of candidates, as Jed's scheming bank manager Milburn Drysdale and his assistant, Miss Hathaway, try to make sure their own chosen candidate is selected. Penelope Spheeris' film, following her success with Wayne's World, continues in the same comic vein and fans of the TV series should look out for a cameo role from Buddy Ebson, the original Jed Clampett.

Only a deathbed confession by the real killer spares him the electric chair but at last he walks out of prison a free man, into the arms of the waiting Kay.

Don Siegel's thriller stars Steve Cochran and Howard Duff as Cal Bruner and Jack Farnham, two cops assigned to track down $300,000 stolen in a hold-up. They spot him, and the ensuing car chase leaves him dead and reveals a trunk stuffed full of money. Bruner suggests they keep some but Farnham eventually decides to do the honest thing. With one of the other thieves on their trail and a partner who's willing to turn him in, Bruner has to act fast if he's to save his skin and the loot.

But in another compartment is Warren and as the train thunders through the night, insane rage leads to another brutal tragedy.
