I think that the firmware shuld not be much diferent from the lazer fta 203(1Mb),do you know how to edit or change a firmware,or how it can be done??
Or how it can be dessembled? or how the precess is made?

Hello Everybody!

Does anybody have an idea why the teletext does not work on my Digital 800? I put hevet500 onto it (052002.4fix.bin).
At some stations after pressing the yellow button a small menu appears on the screen asking if I want to see teletext or subtitle. After selecting anything nothing happens.
At some channels where the teletext icon is displayed and I know that there is teletext service the teletext is totally dead.

Otherwise the receiver works fine.

How old is that firmware? Maybe update to the latest?
Did you scan the channels yourself, or are you using a pre-made channel list?
If you open your userdata bin with sceditor5.3, you can check the ttx (teletext pid)
to see if it is zero, or another number. I never played with teletext settings, that's
all I can think of.

I guess I can help you there, I also looked for a channel editor for my Globo Digital 400S and tried one version after the other on http://www.setedit.de/startup_d.html, and after quite some time I was successful with the Neotion/@Skybox version (http://www.setedit.de/SetEditNeotion_de.html). The software will cost you 20 Euro though, but you can try it out first. Also, the doc is in German, but as you come from Germany, you'll probably speak German anyway . When you upload the changed channels to the receiver (which has to be turned on to do so), the Globo will automatically switch off and not react on your remote anymore. So you're forced to actually pull the power plug in order to reset the stb (it doesn't have a poweroff button). But don't worry, at least when I tried it yesterday, it came up perfectly with the edited channels afterwards and listened to the remote again

Now of course I wonder if the 400S is somehow a clone of some Neotion stb which maybe would allow to "upgrade" its firmware? I'm not familiar with the matter though (neither Neotion STBs), but maybe somehow knows more information about it?

Sceditor5.7 does the channel lists, evileyes manager 1.4.2 is a
good tool for upload/download. Both are free and available on
the net.

If I had a 1meg receiver, I would try to find somebody that has
a surface mount soldering/desoldering capability and I would
replace the 1meg flash chip with a 2meg version like the 29lv160.
It seems 1meg receivers are being left in the dust as far as firmware
upgrades are concerned.
