My dish is a bit out.
I think that it is at 26 West.
I am getting this beacon.
TBS6983 100cm Dish.

This will be Hispasat 36W-1, that arrived at 26.0°W about 2 weeks ago for in-orbit testing.
(For those who may wonder what this is about). :cool:

I will move the dish over there now and have a scan.
Does anyone know how long the satellite is going to be at this location, is it just a temporary slot?
 
Yes moonbase, temporary at 26.0°W for in-orbit testing, here you'll only find carriers and other unlockable signals, normally.

The carrier at 11967 V confuses me, because the published TT&C frequencies are in different sub-bands (11452 & 12749)!
So far, I only found that the uplink range is 14.25...14.5 GHz: SmallGEO - eoPortal Directory - Satellite Missions
(Hispasat AG1 is original name for Hispasat 36W-1)

@blademedia 12283 V 2200 is 31.5°W (Intelsat 25), 12482 V 15000 probably 33.5°W (HYLAS 1)

Thanks hvdh, I am sure I am at 26W but could be ghosting, I am new to using cards, what's the transponders to the left please

A table with some 30°W Hispasat transponders it seems.
To find the 26°W test signals, it's of no use to scan for transponders.
There are only peaks to be found, in spectrum view.

First look today. V and H same transponder.I am no expert. I am not sure about the H spike .

... This also has a Ka downlink as well that could be testing but struggling to find any frequency allocations as yet...... anybody ?.
 
I've been strugging too, all I find is 3 * 144 MHz transponders in Ka-band.
I'd first try 19.7...20.2 Ghz, Hispasat 30W-5 uses that portion as well.
 
Will be interesting to see what plans Hispasat have for channels in this new position of 36west?

As @satosk would say, i'm fishing in two new Ka sea's at the moment trying to catch something , 42.5° East and now 26° West temporary slot.
As i am rigged at the moment, only the 1.25 Gibertini installation looking at 42.5°E has monitoring for band B and band D but will not come round to cover orbital slots greater than 1°W upwards.
The other "rod", the 1.8CM is looking at 26° West temporary slot but only has Ka band D monitoring, so can't fish for 19.2 to 20.2 fish at the moment. I might have another modded band B Hughes lnb somewhere that i could put on the 1.8 ?.

Probably to promote twin Lnb set up on a small dish in Spain "30 west + 36 west" so virtually anything that is on 30 west may come to 36 west.
