Hi normsky!

What firmware version are you running(1.0004 or 1.0007)?

The 1.0007 version allows you to insert the audio & video PID's manually of the channel that you are searching. I myself, cannot get the other channels from the Premiere package due to the fact that in Portugal I can only receive the H beam.

I just uploaded 1.0007 and currently giving it a quick test.

Although I have added the full details for Premier HD Movies and getting nothing. Not even finding the transmission - regardless of whether its encrypted or not. Same goes for all the other Premier channels even though my previous Technomate found them all no problems.

Most odd.

Here's a link to download all the channels on all the sats it makes finding particular channels easier, as long as your reciever has the right sat positions entered:) http://www.sataid.net/forum/showthread.php?p=38116#post38116
Use the Formula prog to upload download from the Humax, it's a great list I found channels I never knew I could get:)

I downloaded that this morning. Will give your suggestion a try later on.

One thing has to be said though - if I was a newcomer to motorised dishes and this type of receiver I would be totally lost. The manual is next to useless for a newcomer and the menus are not intuitive. Furthermore it doesn't seem to track what you are trying to achieve.

If I wasn't so tired after pratting about with it all night last night I would be a bit more descriptive and articulate on the pros and cons.

Conclusion though - I didn't waste my money. Much better than my previous technomate.

Actually it amazes me that after so many years the manufacturers of such devices haven't sussed how much more easier they could make the menuing systems.

They obviously don't monitor the trials and tribulations of people such as ourselves in forums such as these.

One thing I should mention - this morning I linked my PC to the receiver according to the HUMAX download advisory. Followed the instructions. Even noted all the previous comments in the forum.

Uploaded the latest update to my receiver. Then power cycled it. After that it wouldn't boot up. The receiver gave me a CRC error on load. Naturally I crapped myself. After about 10 more attempts it worked. Possibly there is no error checking on the upload? Eventually it worked though.

Gave me the shakes - especially after fitting my own plug! (warranties and all that)

Yes I totally agree, the manual and GUI are less than perfect, I am new to sat TV and it can be a big, if enjoyable learning curve, I only got my system because I refuse to pay S*y for the privilage of watching anything in HD, now I have my sat system I have a choice, free, if I can put up with the continual key searches that enable me to watch them, it's a bit like the masons "an open secret" if you know where to look!:-bash
I managed to upgrade my box with no problem and have found that if it does act strangely the best thing to do is turn it off at the back.:-ohmy

Hi Rato, have you loaded 1.07.
If you have do you find the HDMI picture rather dark.
And the scart Picture is just about rite.
My problem with the HDCI-2000 scart picture is when set
to RGB i have sound on vision (Dark wavy horizontal lines).
Scart picture is stable when RGB is Disabled.

*normsky Hi,have you tried the channel settings editor
( Formula for HD ) by Bigman. With this you can upload his
Channel list (Bigman V2..zip) It has all Prem in sequence
Prem 1..2..3..4, as well as Prem Film HD it also has
All the Direct Film Channels loaded.

If interested look for (Fomula editor version 1.01) this tool
will load all,I think its 24 satilles into your HD-2000.
Can find it on satd*d*z.

i'm finding the 1.07 firmware fine and stable, although little different to the previous firmware, the box is quite basic along with the barebones menu, but works very well and reliably with the dragoncam, don't think it has ever crashed or switched itself off.
Even when i had a short on my lnb, wire was touching wire,[after doing some cable adjustments] it told me on the display "the lnb has shorted" in clear words on the digi display.
is a crc error not related to internal memory?in answer to normsky's comment.

Cyclic Redundancy Check

Information stored in the file header which stores information about the contents of the file which can be used to verify the files integrity and ensure it has not been tampered with or modified by a virus

Hi:

I just downloaded this file and uploaded it. 1 word - UNBELIEVABLE! This list is incredible. Never in a million years could I have put a list like this together.

Thanks for the recommendation. :) :) :)

Yes I was a bit wary being new to this, but try as I might I could never get all the channels that were mentioned on these and other forums, this IMO this type of list should be supplied with the box!
The humax 2000 initial scan misses all these extra channels so this list save a lot of time trying to find them manually:)

It is indeed a very comprehensive channel list, and thanks must go to Bigman for the time he has put into it.

Hi BF!

Yes, I did find it more darker that the previous version. RGB via Scart is fine. I still can´t use the advanced search properly, or it doesn't work right. I can't get the missing Premiere channels on the H Beam that I receive here in Portugal. The channels that are missing are the mature content channels. I insert the PID's but nothing comes up.:confused Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, Just watched England v Andorra on BBC HD in 1080i.
The (WIDE) button was Enabled Via HDMI on the HD2000,
Also enabled Via Scart, able to switch to 4.3-Pillar-Full-Auto.
At the same time the Screen Format on the TVs Remote
was Disabled Via AV4 (HDMI), but was Enabled Via Scart AV1.
It seems to be up to the Transmitter wether or not we are
able to zoom Wide screen up to Full screen.

rato sorry about Pids, had then in line until I uploaded.

At last, Humax technical people replied to my email with following solution (but I dont understand about edit and download - Hope some one will help me):

Currently the new software has included the Advanced Search function, however on channels such as CEEITV the SID information is not beingdetected correctly and so you will end up with the Picture and Soundworking correctly, but an error message will be displayed on screen. This is currently being investigated. To resolve the issue for now you can use the Formula for HD program to edit your channel information, then download it to the receiver.

Hi Mates,

Hotbird 11727V 27500 3/4

I have sold my HDCI receiver due to above problem and thinking of buying again as the technician says the new software has the capability to clear Cee(I)TV. Could some one please try this channel and confirm it working before I buy another one. Thanks!

Your help will be much appreciated.

OK cool, nice to see some updates at last.

Before adding the channel list on a post further up (august 30 L53 2006 thingy), I assume these can be added on to existing listing on the STB or do I need to do a reset (in the menu) and load the new listing ??

If I do a reset will it loose the satellites I have painstakingly added over last 2 days ? Or is it just a channel list reset ?

Being able to so far go from 42E Turksat to 30W hispanicsat I have done too much work lol.

Thanks

komp
