Hi Shahid,

I can only receive the H beam here in Portugal from the Premiere Package. The FH+B & the FH-B Beams are not receivable here. The missing channels I have are the Blue Movie channels & Prem. Erotik 1. I have tried to insert the Video & Audio PID's but what I get labeled in the search results is "new channel". When I select to view them, nothing comes on. Weird.:confused Could you or someone else try the other channels that are missing on the other Beams to see what result comes out?

I think you'll have to wait for the one that comes with the Humax, normsky.

In the meanwhile, any questions you have in anticipation of arrival of your STB, post here. I'm sure someone will be able to help. It's a great box, BTW, although the menu can be a little quirky. A new software update would help here I expect.

I would post my copy of the PDF manual here for you normsky, but I'm away on holidays and I have it on my computer at home. I will be home on Monday so if no one posts it until then, I can put it here on this thread.

Strange that the English manual is available on Humax's Polish site, but unobtainable on their UK or global one :confused

Just to let you know. I bought a Red Viacess Cam ( with ART SPORTS card) put it in SLOT 1.

SLOT 2 is Dragon with Celebro Card.

With both inside there slots. The Viacess Cam keeps rebooting after 4 mins intervals. So I took out the Dragon Cam and all is working fine. There is definately an issue with x2 CAMS in there slots.

Note. The Humax HD2000 does not have a eject button for taking the CAMS out! you have to push hard and PULL !!! :)

80cm motorized dish with Humax HDCI2000 reciever/Dragon cam/cas 3 programmer/Topfield 5800 digital reciever

I need help/information regarding my Dragon Cam and Humax 2000.
First can anyone tell me how I operate the Cam ? the dealer sold it as "fully loaded" I understand that this means it has codes already programed into it, but what exactly should it be able to clear with these codes? also when opening the Dragon through the Humax and using the "debug" menu, when I try to enter any numbers it asks me for a 3 digit passcode, now there's no mention in the Humax manual regarding 3 digit only 4 digit numbers, can anyone educate me regarding this ?
I am awaiting delivery of a Cas 3 programmer, where should I look for files to load into this so that I can update the Dragon Cam in the future ? (I realise it's a touchy subject) I will post my e/mail address if anyone can help.
Thanks

hi,it is a string/combination of 3 digit numbers it will be asking you to type in rather than a passcode,it's not that often that you'd need to type in numbers manually.
If the dragon cam is loaded with a recent file it should clear stuff such as mtv and easy tv on astra 1,there isn't a lot available just now on hotbird and astra 1 with a dragon cam
sites such as satnet.ch have plenty of files free to download for dragon cam, programming software etc.

Thanks beintot, yes it is as you say a string of three numbers it has a Bell symbol then a box with 3 blocks for number entry, the humax manual shows nothing on this subject.
As a complete newbie I have no Idea as to what I should be doing, nothing seems to come with instructions and the Humax manual is sparse regarding information, thanks for the site names I'll investigate.

Hi mate, they are Hex codes 3 digit numbers = 2 digit alphanumeric

Its basically key files, on certain websites they either give out alphanumeric keys or hex keys or both.

The Dragon cam has uses Hex keys because it has no way of adding the letters so using plain digits instead.

But as your on a fixed SKY dish thats not really a problem since nothing on Astra 2 is "open" just add the SKY Box serial in the right place not in the Debug menu, theres a choice of 2 NDS and Nagra get your serial from the SKY box and enter it there and place your SKY card with its chip facing upwards.

Thanks Remlap, so it's not an passcode it's the actual Hex codes so if I wanted to change them I would have to enter 8 sets of 3 to complete the string (8 sets of 2 alphanumeric) and do this for each line.
My setup has changed:) I now have a motorized system hence the need to understand the codes.:D must update my profile:-doh!
Anyone know of an idiots guide to the various cards and what they do (Funcard etc) Thanks

Glad I could help, you got it spot on.

I actually was puzzled first day I got the box and cam, the bell is very miss leading, I actually got the info elsewhere but I was stuck scratching my head for awhile to.

Enough about the keys, what do you think of the HD channels that you got free to air like Luxe HD on Hotbird or ANIXE and HD Promos on Astra 1?

well I just received my Humax today.

Plugged in and running OK - initial impressions are:
  • The box runs bloody hot! (as other ppl have mentioned)
  • BBC HD looks really nice - but didn't knock me or the missus's socks off as much as I thought it would - but SD through TiVo now looks crap!
  • It was a pain working out how to setup the my motor - menus seem a bit odd but I worked it out without the manual
  • No signal strength meter on the OSD? odd....?
  • TP Database out of date? couldnt pick up some stuff I would have expected like DigitAlb on 16e, and I couldnt see its TP listed?
  • Need to get a null modem cable to flash the new fw

No Signal strength there is, when you scan.

Also yes the reciever transponder list is very out of date its not hard to add correct ones though.

Which firmware did both of your recievers come with?

Cheers
