Hi -
I,m getting 126 channels from this sat -- using a " fixed" 90 cm Channel master with only 2.4 elevation view at my location ..... but cannot get a lock on 12722 H ..... signal is floating between 5.0 and 6.0 db ... nowhere near enough
.. I wonder if a 1.2 dish would do it ? (i have my doubts) ... i,v watched this SABC news channel many years ago - it would be good to have it again.

To me, in the morning it is far better, in the late evening it starts blinking ... (signal up and down then no signal.... then up down then no signal)

You might get another 2db with a 1.2, if that will be enough for you to register a lock.Hi -

Thanks for your reply .. I will monitor signal levels for a while to see if its worth a try .. although signal levels seem quite a bit higher at times this morning .. (up to 8.0 db) the fading effect due to my very low elevation here - is worse...( down to 3.5 db)
According to Lyngsat i need 9.4 db to lock ... so its unlikely that i will get any stability even if i manage a lock

Well if I would go for a 1.2 I make sure that I will get a general all around reception (not just for one particular Sat)

I have a motorised 1.2 c.m. channel master in use here .. but cannot see 68.5 E with it due to a building roof .. i may "borrow" the dish face and swap it with the 90 c.m. just out of interest .. My view of 68.5 E with the fixed dish is through a gap between buildings and cannot really a be permanent fixture ... i could have it there for a few weeks though.
A bit windy here today for removing the 1.2 dish face .. its in a rather exposed position ..
