Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, I hope I'll have a nice time here.
I have been reading your threads for a long time, I signed up because I would like to ask you a question.
I find myself having to exchange data with devices located in remote areas, which for this reason are covered by a satellite internet connection.
The provider's customer care contacted me saying:
"Eutelsat has stated that starting from January 2025 the e33f satellite may no longer be in stable orbit and there is no intention to place a new satellite in that orbital position".
He therefore suggests:
"to migrate devices to the new satellite Hellas sat 4 39 east"
with the consequence that I will have to pay very high expenses for the changes to be made on sites.
I looked for news online in reference to the decommissioning of the 33f satellite but I couldn't find any.
Does Eutelsat usually release news like this?
From my research I also understand that the Hellas satellite is from a supplier other than Eutelsat.
I would therefore like to ask you if you are aware of this disposal of the e33f starting from January 2025, I have not found any news on this matter.
Thank you.
