Yes, Phil. The motorised lists are compiled by Laural, I just do the fixed ones.

Laural's latest is one he did this month (12/09/08), and is based on firmware v1.00.11 -

Dear Llew
Thank you, just another question if you don't mind.
Does the Humax retain it's guidance to the sats I have mentioned.
Or will we have to fiddle about with it to get it to work correctly. I don't quite get how that works.

My Brother has a Diablo lite cam with stealth firmware, I am not sure which version.

Regards Phil G.

Yes, once you've set up the motor using DiseqC 1.2 or USALS (depending on the motor type) for his location. The manual guides you through the steps.

Any problem, just ask.

Ive read the previous posts but am still struggling to get sound on my Humax on ITV HD. I get the test card but when a programme is being broadcast I get picture but no sound. I'm running firmware version 15.

I am wondering if Im best goig back to fw 11 as I believe CH4 HD works on that version? Has anyone got sound on ITVHD with 15 firmware?

Thanks....

I have a feeling I might regret asking this, but here goes.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to satellite systems. Perfectly happy doing just about anything with a Linux PC, but often baffled by my Humax HDCI2000.

I've been trying (without success) to get it to list ITV HD. When the simple approach didn't work (looking for it in the channel listings), I turned to this forum to see what needed to be done. Baffled again! It sounds to me as if the only way I can get ITV HD working is by tinkering with the software in the Humax.

Which leaves a few questions:

1) Why isn't ITV HD listed along with all the other channels?
2) If I have to get the drains up and modify something in the software, is there a plain English, step-by-step guide to doing it?
3) How is the little old lady down the road ever going to cope with this?

I can hear the experts heaving great sighs of exasperation already :)

1 - I don't understand that either -you'd have thought they wanted viewers for advertising sales - do they (ITV) get a cut of the sales revenue of the Freesat boxes?
2 Start from the begiining of this thread
3 - I guess she'll pay for a Freesat box and miss out on all the none Freesat channels.

I have spoken to a nice lady at ITV and asked her why I can't see ITV HD on my Humax channel listings. She told me that this is because ITV HD is not transmitted as a separate channel, like the BBC, but is provided as a 'Red Button Service'.

This apparently means that when they decide to transmit a programme in HD, a red button will appear on-screen. If you have a Freesat HD box, pressing the red button will allow you to watch in HD.

I haven't tried this yet, but the next time I see a red button appear, I'll give it a go.

Hi Marco42

This thread is all about the Humax HDCI 2000 for ITV settings. If that's your box read from the beginning, post 1 - if you've got the official Humax Freesat box you should be able to access it when it is broadcasting (don't hold your breath) by pressing the red button when watching ITV normally.

Hi Gewitty
HDCI 2000 is NOT a freesat box as defined by BBC/ITV! that is their name for the boxes with the EPG etc.

Sorry red button won't help with HDCI 2000, we access it as a channel using the instructions here to find and store it.

Seems like you have some redundant or missing information in your file. Which file are you modifying?

Llew,

Thank you very much for your interest. I think file is not the problem.
I've tried to download many files, for exemple freesat.fdf from developers and the problem is the same: After completed the download process, when the decompress process begins stops and gives the error.

Hi Jobera

So I understand what's happening is this failing when you decompress the file on the PC to make .fdf file or does it fail when uploading the fdf file to the HDCI2000?

Hi Developers,

The problem is when I upload de fdf to the HDCI2000.
The upload process begins correctly and when arrives 100%, begins a decompresion process that only arrives to the 7 % aprox. Then: [E-02] HDF Header CRC Error

Why don't you try a different version of the firmware for the box and see if that will allow the channel list to load. They are available for download if you don't have one available.
