Have Jaeger 1224 and CM 1.2 for sale. Bought around 2003 from Satelittesuperstore. Stored in my workshop since. I never powered it up so presume its working. Used for a couple of months to point dish at Astra.
Marks are from getting moved around workshop over the years. I can test if you tell me how.
Price is €325 or €250 for the motor alone plus shipping.
Its in Galway, Ireland.

Both prices shown in Euros, ( probably an oversight ) convert one to show price in another currency £ or $.

The Euro is the Currency used at the Advertiser's location, so it seems perfectly reasonable to offer the kit that way.

I cannot, however, conceive of a reason to convert to $, though it seems likely that any potential purchaser would easily be able to convert to their own local currency.

Can we please confine Postings to genuine enquiries relating to the offer.

Agree and sorry for any confusion.

But one of these currencies must be different from €, otherwise I choose the lower listed € price

I bought a Jaeger 1224 motor and v-box for £100 sterling, collected from a seller on this forum two weeks ago.
I valued the v-box at around £20 second user as it was the 5V version that can drive an optical actuator.

For Sale - 1.2m Satellite System


I can offer you €105 euro (approx. £80 sterling) for the Jaeger 1224 motor plus shipping costs on top.

The offer is subject to confirmation that the Jaeger 1224 is working. It looks as though at some point in its history it has been outside for some time, it has signs of weathering to the casing and the metalwork. If you have a v-box or satellite receiver with a 36V internal positioner it is reasonably easy to test if the motor is working provided you do not get the pulse and motor terminals mixed up.

Alternatively, I think it is possible to test it with a 12V car battery but I have never tried this method.

I am also interested in the motor, need to get an idea of shipping costs to Spain. Can you advise approx weight and dimensions so I can get an estimate. Been trying to find on the www but as they don't sell them any more not having much luck

Another question, was it new when purchased in 2003, or ex demo?
Assuming it it working, as you say you've never powered it up, I'm prepared to offer 150€ plus shipping.
Have checked a few sales sites to get an idea of value, including those in Eire and have seen your advert on a couple of sites!

My luggage scales says 14.65Kgs.
It is accurate as it always agrees with the airline scales.
It would be shipped at cost to me.
Got a qoute just now from DPD for 15 kgs, €40.55 including VAT and fuel charge.
Downside it would take 45 days.

It was outdoors for maybe six weeks holding the 1.2 on Astra, hence the slight rust.

What about the old fashioned local post office, I find them to be good in Spain, and cheaper, but I´ll trust your judgement. Have not been in Eire for a few years now, although I still have family around Dublin and some of them have even moved north! Belfast would you believe.
That has nothing to do with this though, I will go to 210€ for the beast, that I will use on the Laminas 1.8 myself. ( previous statement applies )
Others may have different plans for it???
