By the way, why our noble ass is trying to protect his ass I have crept up to 2cd position (might not hold out by the end of the evening), my highest ever!

Indeed, as I've said nothing like family rivalry!

Your season has been very up and down so far but you have always been in with a good shout at the title. I have to say that I can't honestly pick out who'll even finish in the Champions League places, let alone as champion, it has been that close.

I'll just be happy to finish in the top 10, I've had a shocker!

(January weekly scores can be found in the attached full table)

January saw the 3rd and 4th rounds of the FA Cup, Carling Cup semis, as well as the arctic weather threatening many but claiming only two Premier League games.

This first month of the year also saw a change in the leadership of the league to the present pacemaker, and winner of the January award, T_G's younger son, aka Eric Catona.

Much like Manchester United, RED United have been playing good stuff under the radar, having been in the top 5 for all but one week since the end of November.

However, when United's push to the top came, it was not the nature of toppling long-time leader kreacher and the Creature team that made it magnificant, but how in the closing 2 GW's United have built a 49pt lead upon Mucho Calor Hoy. 90pts in GW23 was T_G Junior's season best.

The irony of all ironies is that T_G would almost certainly have won the award, were it not for his son's exploits! 100pts in GW21 is the SupaLiga record this season, and with a gross monthly score 2nd only to United (18pts less, in fact), Satellites RED shot up the league from 13th at New Year to 4th.

3rd highest scorer of the month mhku sits in 2nd, 1 place ahead of takeaguess' Athletica Booshank. Despite a nightmare 2009 so far, Creatures remain in the Champions League places in 5th by only a single point from 6th place Toontastic.

Donkeytown continue their march up the league during the winter shutdown of the Champions League, up 4 places to 7th. Another of this season's Champions League teams, my Dynamo Sol, are now in 15th, advancing 5 places during January.

Round 6 result:

So there we have it, SupaLiga is out of the Fantasy Cup for another year. Norm guided his team further than anyone else, all the way to Round 6 before being knocked out by the Australian team, Rebels. The furthest that a SupaLiga team has ever progressed is Round 9, achieved last season by T_G's Satellites RED.

Europe's best were back in action for the ultimate prize, the UEFA Champions League, and there were some magical moments, including Youssi Benayoun's winner against Real for Liverpool at the Bernabeu and Didier Drogba's strike to put Chelsea in the driving seat versus Juventus.

Also returning was the UniSat Champions League, and the title is still very much up for grabs with nearly everyone in with a shout. AFPL champions Rasta Boys stay at the top, but only a single point seperates them from Donkeytown.

Hot on the heels of the top 2 are T_G's Satellites RED, scoring 51pt to go into 3rd. However, top scoring during the 1st leg of the Round of 16 is my team, Dynamo Sol, with 53pt. Clearly, my poor SupaLiga form is no impediment to continental success!

This month's award goes not to a manager guiding his team in the title fight, or even to a Champions League place. Instead, stuzeeuk has battled from a bad start to the season to have a great 2009 so far, and in February, Paraletic Athletic put more points on the board than any other. This is stu's first MotM award, having competed in all three seasons.

The pressure is higher than ever at the top. RED United are still in 1st, but Mucho Calor Huy closed the gap. mhku's team scored only 6 less points than Paraletic Athletic over the month.

Donkeytown, PL SupaLiga runners-up last season, are now in the Champions League places and occupying a season-best 4th place going into March. T_G's Satellites RED go 3rd and increasingly look like a strong contender for the title going into the spring. Toontastic end the month in 5th, a single point behind the Donkeys.

Taking big falls are Athletica Booshank (10th) and long-time leaders Creatures (11th), while Rainbow Warriors jump up 6 places to 6th in a close-knit group of teams in the top half.

England's finest blew away all before them last week, and are joined by Barca, Villarreal, Bayern and Porto in the quarter final draw, coming up on Friday.

Rasta Boys continue to top the UniSat Champions League standings, and their lead is almost as wafer-thin as it was after the 1st leg matches, as Donkeytown trail by only 2 points.

The only movement was in mid table, as AFPL's Winning Eleven leapfrogged SupaLiga's Dynamo Sol into 4th. Top scorer this round was S_G, whose SupaLiga champions Super REDs gained 62pts.

March appears to have come and gone in the blink of a eye in the Premier League, with the internationals taking up the final fortnight. However, 3 weeks is enough in both the Premier League and SupaLiga to provide another twist in the tale.

While Manchester United have had their lead trimmed to a single point, RED United have also seen their advantage diminish. With 8 Gameweeks remaining, more than a handful of managers will feel they have a chance.

This month's award goes to one of those managers. rolfw has hit a sparkling run of form just at the right time, and now that Satellite Screwballs are only 14pts from RED United in 3rd place, rolfw is amongst the front runners in this red hot title race. Drama is assured with every game now!

March was a good month for long time leaders Creatures, as they returned to their early season excellence to go up 4 place to 7th. Also experiencing good times were the quadruple threat at the lower reaches of the table; kebabinho, Zorba, sg_ and kleefarr. The four have raised their games, with Chelsea Cruise and Stesgs both clinching weekly top scores, so those managers that are that little bit higher up the standings will do well to be aware of this new threat!

BO! There are days to go until the start of the 2009 Formula 1 season, and you can find out how to join the forum's very own fantasy F1 league, F1 SupaLiga, by clicking here.

The month of April saw in it's first day of Premier League action today, including Benayoun's late winner against Fulham to give Liverpool top spot. The league leadership has also changed hands in PL SupaLiga today.

RED United have fallen all the way down to 5th, and the new leaders are mhku's Mucho Calor Huy. The Huys have never completed a Gameweek topping the table. Satellite Screwballs look to be continuing their great recent run as they are also a place higher tonight, as are Toontastic, whilst Satellites RED remain in 4th.

Everton face Wigan and Man United entertain Villa in Sunday's clashes, so there is plenty left to play for this weekend.
