ITV4 to launch Nov 1st 2005

It makes a pleasant change to be able to report a proper entertainment service instead of the rubbishy shopping channels I normally report here!

ITV have scrapped plans to team up with Nickelodeon for their childrens channel and are now planning to launch their own childrens service in the Autumn.

Update - this may not launch as a stand alone channel, reports are suggesting it may timeshare with ITV 4

Canis Media have bought MyPhone.tv from the Gems TV group. The phone sales programming has been scrapped and the onscreen logo now reads TV Megastore. EPG 658 still reads Myphone.tv for the time being

ITV 1 Meridian Hannington (Thames Valley) sub region will launch 1st August along with the Meridian Heathfield/Midhurst (Sussex) sub region

Muslim station Bridges TV plan to be on air by the end of the year, and are branding themselves "Sky One for Muslims".

Looks like Vectone Mall will be launching in the near future - the 6th Vectone service will be a shopping channel

Exchange and Mart (696) to close in the near future. Possibly as soon as Friday.

Meridian North (Thames Valley) and Meridian South East (Sussex) launched into the respective Meridian subregions this morning.

South Asia World (540) is now encrypted. I believe you can subscribe to the individual channel for a fiver a month, or the zee package for a tenner.
